I think that was the point - to do something out of the ordinary.

Not only is every Foo Fighters album the same - but every live show is the same. I like Dave Grohl as a person, but his band seems stuck in a rut.

U2 is a great band - but they should steer clear of dance music..not their strong suit.

Have you ever noticed how many re-mixes there are of Discotheque - must be hundreds of them. The band clearly enjoyed working on that song - for weeks..months…

The worst thing an artist can do is get stuck in a rut - even if the rut produced some brilliant albums. I'm all for an artist branching out and doing a project to help spur further creativity. And I personally love the injection of satire and humor into music. Even without that said - Pop has some excellent material
