My dad has a old inline 6 1972 Chevy stepside that eventually I will buy off him when he decides to retire it from plow truck duty and I have a part of me that thinks it would be so cool to put a modern inline 6 in it. Right now it has a 292 and I have researched what it would take to do the swap, what parts are

Finish the Buick L67 swap into my autocross MGB and put a 3 link rear suspension in the rear. Then get to as many autocrosses as I can.

It might be just me, but I saw Pontiac, and a mid engineered supercar in the title and my brain filled in that it was a Fierro.  Its sad that a GTO was harmed to make this.

It appears to be shedding it's skin.  But seriously, but it, pull everything off it doesn't need to run, put in a really good roll cage and harnesses and have the Mopar version of a Vettekart.

I am in that group that loves the idea of a 2 door pickup. Unfortunately a 4 door pickup sits in my driveway and there is no going back. There is so much room for stuff in the cab.

Can you imagine how many idiots would want to drag race you at every stop light in this car?

Honestly I think a lot of it comes from Jeremy Clarkson and his jokes about the guy who designed it put the old one in a copy machine.  It seems like on the other side, 911 enthusiasts all believe the last true one was the one they own.  Fortunately for Porsche, it seems like people either forget about it in a couple

Your missing it's utility to someone with T-Rex arms.

Hate the earlier Valiants, but a couple years late in 64 they got it right in my opinion.  This is on my list of cars I would like to fix up, unfortunately it's a long list and I am not wealthy.

Honestly arguing tires on the internet is similar to arguing politics. People just get entrenched in their views. I just wish the all season crew would stay home when the roads are bad so the don’t inconvenience me by showing traffic to a crawl. I guess I am the madman for driving a safe speed in my vehicle and

I think service is the big thing here, the dealers have some sort of quick lube/service center and it takes a couple minutes to put in a new filter.  The filter will do its job and although it will clog and be less efficient it will still probably work to protect the engine for a while after it's use cycle.  It's also

They bought it that way. Someone before them put a FWD Oldsmobile engine, transmission and suspension in the bed.  They have done a fair bit to the truck since they bought it, but they didnt do the swap itself.

I don’t know that the intersection of cops and people who fly drones is that small, I know a highway patrolman in Montana who is trained to fly drones to get photographs from the air of crash scenes.

What gets me most is that everyone stops for long enough for the car and bus to stop moving and then continues on as if nothing happened.  What is day to day life like in this part of town.

I got T-boned the same way, except I was crossing on green and got hot on my right after crossing 3 Lanes of traffic.  The cars at the intersection stopped but a car in the right lane didn't see the light.  The first lesson I learned is to keep scanning the intersection until you see each car at least start to slow

It’s the most German trunk hinge I have ever seen.  It's beautiful, well thought out and does the job as well as stamped metal and a pin did on my Neon I had through college.

That is the German way.  This failed, so the answer is more complexity.

Looking at how over engineered the trunk hinge is, I don’t want to touch a bolt on this car. That said a very bad part in me would get joy out of doing an LS swap in this thing.

Honestly my imperfect answer is if it has planetary gears and a torque converter it’s an automatic. If it has a clutch and gears selected by a human it’s an manual, dual clutches it’s a dct, no matter how they are shifter and a CVT means it’s a CVT. There may be gray areas, but why overthink it.

It’s all about perspective, are you a customer, lawyer or salesman?
