No one bats an eye at a $100k navigator or Escalade, both of which ride on derivatives of pickup truck platforms.

Holy shit, Erik. What the fuck? You just shot your credibility. Nice work.
seriously, these conclusions...
So GM makes two full size trucks (that 100% cannibalize from each other) the Silverado and Sierra. And if you add those two up, they sold more of them than Ram or Ford:
I know. That just won’t stand up and howl like 190 HP from the factory.
Those are one of my favorite SUVs of all time on looks alone.
Except the Explorer has done well, and even just went to a RWD platform.
Yep, a better question is ‘What happened to Nissan?’. Seriously, other than the GT-R (and maybe the 370Z) there isn’t a Nissan that I even think about any more. This is the same company that made a sports sedan that actually competed with the BMW 3-series (Maxima) and made a souped-up version of a basic economy car…
Tesla should really do a trades & delivery van like the Ram Promaster or the Ford Transit.
It has to be that big. Twice a year I tow a 12-foot travel trailer.
I still have a 1996 SL2. NO DENTS, NO RUST!
Amazingly, doesn’t burn oil, because I broke that motor in properly;)
Ok-I’m gonna be the only voice of defense. I worked many years in the auto machine shop trade. And from our end, we could tell a lot about the outside world. About 2 years into a new design of engine, the issues start showing up. And then the next 5 or 6 they become the norm of things to do. 4.0 v-6 Ford head gasket…
Thanks! I always wanted a COTD... never expected to have it involve a Saturn though.
I hate being that guy, but the pic is a SL, or SL1,
“Bigfoot runs on meth”
If it can power itself into a normal seating position now, that would great.
