I legit want to see a stripper version with 250mile range, steel wheels, utility interior for $50k. Even if the bed is small this would make a great commercial vehicle, stow valuable tools in the lockable frunk, junk in the back or on a trailer, run your power tools without generator. Forget this halo vehicle

One man’s holy grail is another man’s crack pipe. I’m in the crack pipe camp.

Toyota UAE site lists the Heritage as 9.2 KM/L of gas on the V6, google puts that at 21.6mpg which I think is optimistic but on a flat terrain highway maybe. If true, its miles ahead of the V8.

I’ve heard that also, we’ll have to wait and see I guess. Even shoving the 4.0L out of the 4 runner would result in 25% increase in fuel economy at this point over the current V8.

With rumours from one of their dealer meetings that Toyota is moving the north american Land Cruiser down in price point and luxury this could mirror what we may see. While I don’t see Toyota going that far down, it would be reasonable to see the LC in the $50s.

I haven’t been on the cutting edge of electric vehicles, but I think this would be super sexy with a funky electric powerplant.

I guess the solution to towing or long drives is to fill up with hydrogen. Sounds good to me. So where exactly do I find a hydrogen station, the 6 in California. ?

I was thinking Prince

Rip that camper off the back she’s basically a land rover dune buggy. $500 tops and use it in a tough truck competition.

so tough, they could eat their own head gaskets for a passtime

Can’t have a campfire in a hotel room

I know it’s not anywhere close to the size but most people with a travel trailer have a minimum of 1 deep cycle batter on their camper anyway, lots of people have 2 just to power the lights and pumps etc. My trailer is already carrying 60 lbs of battery, whats another 800 lbs when the camper already weighs 6000. And

Or the tallest midget at the midget convention...too much?

I’ve come to learn that they have offered them to ultra light airplane builders, there’s a few vids floating around of them.

It was a bit of a butcher job, but Rich runs an excellent youtube channel and he’s very engaging. That throttle control is ridiculous but I’m pretty sure Rich did it on the cheap for a hoot, not a super serious build.

There are few of these in my neighborhood too, guys still just trolling along in them for no money or payments. Surprisingly not rusted out either.

That’s the reason I don’t hate it.

Don’t love the design, don’t hate it either. But it’s not intriguing. Maybe it’ll grow on me, but at first glances, it’s just another run of the mill Land Rover to fill up mall parking lots.

We had a 1994. Just like the picture. I thought our family arrived bc it had AC.
