Maybe the Dems next genius move will be to have late night TV ads on USA network with a 976 number and the promise of talking to “hot singles near you.”

Jackson was also against our national Tresuary. So other than spitting on the man's views (always good in my opinion) there isn't any reason to put him on something that was the antithesis of his political will.

If Republicans have their way, as they quickly ratchet up their authoritarian regime, children years from now will learn that Obama ruined America and stole his election, and that Andrew Jackson, the confederates and George Wallace are the real heroes.

Tubman’s face kept counteracting the subliminal messaging Mnuchin added.

The only reason not to favor Tubman is that it’s a little weird to take someone who hated how actual people were bought and sold and put their face on money, but even that’s a big stretch.

There is a certain logic to the current set - former presidents and Ben - which Tubman, no matter how worthy, does not match. Maybe with some extra time, they could find a more appropriate figure to use…

A racist president obsessed with racist President Andrew Jackson wanted to cancel a bill replacing Jackson on the $20?  I’m shocked.

Racism and lying? If only there was corruption involved in this story, it'd hit the Trump trifecta.

However, current and former Treasury officials told the Times that Mnuchin instead delayed the bill himself to cover Trump’s ass in the case the president were to cancel Tubman’s bill altogether. Trump, as a presidential candidate, called the redesign “pure political correctness.”

“Many good people on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Line.”

You know that if the Underground Railroad existed today, Trump would punish “sanctuary states.”

Mnuchin stated that the 2020 design deadline for the new $20 bill would be delayed because of the complicated security features that the Obama administration had designated for the bill.

The National Association of Realtors spent $72 million on lobbying last year.

Of course, the Times reports, “landlords warned that removing incentives for them to renovate buildings and lowering their rental income would lead to worse housing conditions for many New Yorkers.”

Doesn’t matter long term. If the rich guys keep winning all them housing will be underwater in my kids’ lifetime.

Until we roll out the guillotines I’ll have to accept these kinds of stories to keep me warm at night.

Damn, the rule of law only seems to apply to us little people (that pay this shithead’s salary)

Damn dude, well argued and completely on point. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around why the Dem leadership clique selected *this* hill to die on ... and make no mistake, it is killing them right now. Maybe you are on to something.

This will be a different story than AOC’s win because the district isn’t so blue. But regardless, I want them to put forth these efforts everywhere to start moving places left.
