The way I see it is that a majority of people who don’t drive (and a fair number who do, unfortunately) just don’t have the temperament to be driving. Just totally blind, deaf, clueless and with the situational awareness of a rock.

I’m in a club for ST cars and many members (myself included) have stories of finding another Focus or Fiesta and wanting to recruit them to the club only to discover that it’s being driven by a grandma/grandpa with no interest in joining and only bought the car because it was manual.
