FWIW I’ve installed headsets with wood blocks and rubber mallets. Make sure you’re hitting the bearing shell and not the bearings themselves. But otherwise fine.

Something’s worth is only what a buyer is willing to pay. How’s it feel to have instantly lost $11k on your truck purchase?!…
