Yeah, unfortunately I agree. As I see it, many things are gonna correlate at least weakly with race, whether good or bad. I’m fine with acknowledging reality. Some over here on the left with me seem to think that’s racism. I tend to think they’re idiots and/or hypocrites.  *shrug*

My RV emits zero gasoline emissions.  It’s a trailer.  Come at me bro.

Arctic Fox!  Sounds like a Russian stripper.

White dude here. Actually, I totally disagree. This isn’t racist at all. Racist is saying, hey, you’re a white dude, you must be a mass shooter (applying some characteristic or perceived characteristic of a group to an individual). Here, statistics indicate that most mass shootings are by white men. Guessing that the

Steamed buns are delicious, but you’re doing it wrong.

Yep.  And I know it’s not PC, but not everyone sitting around you is even American.   I work with a ton of foreigners (legally working here).  What, we want the dude on on an H1B from Japan to pledge allegiance to the US?  Dafuq?

Someone in my family is looking to sell and Panoz Roadster... which is inarguably a better car, but same style.

I know you’re kidding, but “riding my bicycle to the craft brewery near my upscale apartment building” is exactly me, sans the apartment building (I own a house, but in a city). I commute by bike, and love a good seasonal saison. I hate Harley’s with a passion and, like you, this is the only Corvette I’ve ever been

Imma disagree on the blue seats.  That orange tho...

On smooth wood with full body protection, even at 100mph, you’d be hurt, but probably not dead... assuming you slow down quite a bit before coming into contact with a wall. There was a dude walking away from a crash in the linked video even. Not that I’d want to find out how bad it hurts to hit the deck at 100mph...

At 100mph, the air resistance (the force is proportional to v^2) is a pretty effective brake if you just let off the throttle and sit up a bit. I see your point on the fixed cog, but brakes are still far more effective (or dangerous in a close, crowded field, depending on your perspective).

I believe it’s actually safer to have no brakes on a closed track. Fewer drastic speed changes. And on a surface that smooth, 2.25 inch tires are plenty I’d imagine. Today’s technology, certainly no problem at all. See track (bicycle) racing. Those guys race with no brakes on less than 1 inches of rubber no problem at

Dead on for 3 and 5-11. Especially 5.

Unpopular opinion alert: Biden was VP under a popular president for 8 years. As recently as less than 3 years ago. I know this isn’t popular among the crowd that thinks Bernie is electable (hahahahaha), but Joe Biden ain’t going anywhere anytime soon. But for his son dying, Biden would likely be president right now.

“Nope: there are state and federal laws ensuring that people will not lose their jobs because of missing work for serving on a jury.” Just because there are laws against doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Also, getting fired isn’t usually the problem, it’s all the OTHER ways your employer can punish you.

Respectfully, this take is hot garbage. As are almost all musical “appropriation” claims. Want to know who invented the saxophone? A white Belgian named Adolphe Sax. John Coltrane and Charlie Parker better give credit where it’s due... said no one ever. Correctly.

This! I don’t shuttle my kids around (that’s my wife’s job) but I carry a laptop every single day... I’ve forgotten it several times. I mostly commute by bike... I’ve been so distracted that I’ve gotten half way to work without realizing I wasn’t wearing a helmet. Right on my freaking head I didn’t even notice.

You take your logic and go home! But, really, yours is exactly the calculus that needs to happen more in this society.  Too many people think everything is preventable, when actually most things are just tradeoffs.  If 10 kids have to die in back seats so that 100 avoid dying in front seats, then we put kids in the

Personally, I’m on team —-> don’t go to men’s (or women’s) professional sporting events. Most pro athletes are overpaid, over-idolized, over-worshiped, over-everythinged in this country. People need to get their own hobbies or go play Monopoly with their kids. I wish every pro male athlete was paid as little the the US

Corollary: just do the math, and be honest with yourself. Can you finance it and instead invest the same amount of money in something likely* to return a risk-adjust rate higher than the finance rate? Or are you gonna snort Cheeto crumbs off your step-sister’s back? It’s that simple.
