I’m not comparing price points of Audi’s to VW’s here, I’m comparing trims. Meaning, selling the max performance version of a wagon to a country obsessed with numbers on paper seemed reasonable to them for the RS6, so why not the a Golf R wagon? The increased profit margins might make a case for it. Given how excited

VAG decided to not sell the A6 Avant (no the allroad doesn’t count) here but is selling the RS6 here. So if they consider that logical, only selling the Golf R wagons here (and not the Golf sport wagons or alltrak’s) is in the same ballpark no???

Any word on a golf R wagon coming here? That would be really.....REALLY nice and I WOULD buy one. (In manual only as my user name would suggest) I daily a stage 3 modded V70R so no, an Alltrak wasn’t going to cut it.

This thing is very easy on the eyes!

With a conversion costing so much, how much was the repair bill to justify a 76k purchase. I’m sure you didn’t let the van go that badly. I mean I bet you could get that thing to drive as good and as reliable as new with under 20k in work. Sure you would still be driving the same old van but saving over 50k is pretty

Very true, and if the roomers about the 4th gen “real” V showing up with a stick are true, then who knows what will happen? All I know for sure is the pickings are slim for performance based 4 doors/wagons with 3 pedals and it sucks.

I hear you, I feel the only way I will own a V wagon with 3 pedals is to buy an auto and convert or go the real long route and marry a V sedan with a regular CTS Wagon. Would make for an interesting Youtube series of vids ...LOL

It was somewhere around 13k miles. A Texas vehicle that looks just as clean underneath as the photo you see here. It is arguably one of the nicest examples out there. Even still, 3 pedal V wagons don’t seem to go under $50k regardless of the miles :-(

Yep, and it seems people have already committed to overpaying for these as this fine example just went for $89,500.

I guess I’m getting old. I was 23 when this thing came out and as the owner of a modded Fox 5.0 at the time, I was smitten over these things. They were sooo fast at the time, even in stock form. Rated at 390 HP but dynoing around 360-370, so underrated from the start. A tune, CAI, cat back and pulley would get you

Man that kid looks happy!

Most ppl dump these to avoid that timing chain service. The ppl who actually keep these cars and service them thru that 100-120k mile range are of the“don’t low ball me I know what I’ve got” type. Honestly, they are not wrong. I’d put this in the 10-12k range so its a CP for me but manual performance wagons are on

It’s funny to me to read the comments on this one because it really separates the Jalops who actually know what they are talking about from those who are full of shit.

I don’t know this guy but I’m not happy about what he did. So much for any possibility of owning one...

So is Tesla going to option a roll cage with this? You know, so you can run this 8 second pass more than once at the track, before you get kicked?

Awww fuck it, I don’t mind wrenching. You’re pretty much destine to be doing that anyway with any of the manual wagons left in north america. NP

Well fuck me! I need one of these now too!

Maybe a second gen CTS-V is hard to find at this mile/price point but as far as bang for your buck (including amenities and daily-ability) and overall ability to mod to the moon I can’t see much of a better option here.

It’s an epic nice price relative to a new model. As far as why this overpriced pointless “look at me” thing even exists.....that ones beyond me.

A solid 72 percent of people who died in rollover crashes in the midst of the SUV boom were unbelted.
