I agree the tires help huge. The even bigger issue is the transmission. Having 8 gears that change themselves vs. only 6 that you have to row on your own puts Mr. 3 pedal at a huge disadvantage.

Like you said Manual vs. automatic. That’s the real issue with this comparison. Drag radials aside, if they both had autos, which they really should have for this comparison, it would have been a different story.
