This piece may not be journalism, but the number of prancing horse BBQ pictures that have come through here is also not coincidence, methinks. Are Ford GTs going up in flames and we don't know about it? Are Lambos (other than that one famous one) catching fire and we don't care? I don't think so.

Rutledge Wood.

Yes... and have a local BBQ joint to cook the few that get through.

Pfft. Nevada's a ridiculous location. Northern Ontario would be much more realistic (and closer to me!).

I wonder if Carbon Motors would be willing to make a civilian version to raise some cash? Diesel hoonmobile, anyone? (Assuming they can source a suitable manual tranny, of course. I'm sure BMW could help them there too.)

Sorry, I must have missed it... why do we care? Yes, booth professionals can look quite good. But this is Jalopnik, I'm here for the cars - the "professionals" just block my view (and really add nothing to my experience).

Great. Now the government is going to get involved. I'm going to have to show ID to get ANY used Audi engine now. First Sudafed to prevent meth-making, now Audi engines to prevent... whatever the hell this is... WHERE WILL IT END, PEOPLE??

...with British electronics! Aw, yeah.

This would have been the perfect car for just that... if it had anything more than 90 hp, and didn't cost as

Dammit, how long is it going to take to eradicate this?? This was a VOLKSWAGEN, not a Chinese truck. It was (over)loaded with bricks. This was a test of the crash wall, NOT THE VEHICLE.

Punctured by what?? How high are the box sides on a full size pickup truck? 50"? More? And what's the average bumper height on a light duty truck? I'm going to say half of that. Assuming a full-on T-bone, the only thing that's going to hit at that level wouldn't be a puncture risk.

Why didn't they stick the tanks in the Ram Boxes? C'mon, if you can fit a (small female) human in there, a couple of CNG tanks should be easy (along with some additional side-impact protection, of course).

Rapper bait.
