AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO BUY IT!
Amazing how capitalism works, truly astounding.
Smart charging is already a thing. The integration will only get more seamless. The grid has the capacity, just not the peak time capacity.
Most home owners with a dedicated charger have a ~12 hour window where they can charge their cars (6pm-6am) You simply tell the charger you need it to full charged (This could be…
There’s a reason these sales guys are working lots like this. They’re not the most skilled bunch.
That’s more like 70's US luxury.
Comfort sure but nil performance, laughable vehicle dynamics, built quality of a Strohs fueled UAW worker.
The biggest issue in MI is going to be getting titles.
I’ve been in both. The S class coupe and cabrio don’t hit the marks in the same way as an SL. The Sl feels nimble, it’s hefty enough to be solid but short enough to be pliable in the sweepers . Personally I’m not a fan of the S class coupe or the ‘vert, it takes the best parts of an S class and makes them worse.
The S…
I’m fine with all of that. The problem is that being someone with intimate knowledge of many of these subjects he gets it wrong in ways which totally mislead the viewer/student. If he stopped at 80% of his explanations he’d be dead nuts on and I’d have no grounds to complain.
It’s like explaining how a wing functions…
I disagree with them being a “Great DD” if you see any sort of traffic.
It’s OK at best.
I’ve got a ‘05 WRX wagon tuned to around 260 hp on the stock turbo and around town it’s rough. The clutch is heavy, a bit grabby (it’s stock) the shifter is precise but high effort. It’s a giant pain to crawl in traffic with. Seats…
If you got through engineering school and you can’t readily admit “I don’t know” then your degree is the most dangerous thing someone could have ever given you. You’re taught to say “I don’t know, let me go investigate.”
Quite honestly, the only thing that Engineering school does is put an arbitrary filter on the profession allowing those in the profession to make more.
You’re a dolt.
If you’re getting a 3% rate you’re better off taking the loan on a high dollar car. Even if you had the money sitting in the bank for the 60k car you’re better off investing it and making 6-7% easy.
The more fresh engineers you meet the more you realise school teaches you nil about anything applications based. The more prestigious the school the worse it gets.
Diesel absolutely do. Look at any CBEA or later VW. They use them to help control EGR flow among a few other things.
These things you bring up an non issues.
The oil consumption point is total B.S. outside the F1/lab setting.
You’re seriously saying your engine can’t deal with the engine braking loads?
Come on man, you misunderstood that engineer
You also won’t get much engine braking out of a TDI. Think about it....
He’s not an automotive engineer, he’s a car reviewer. Maybe he got an undergrad degree but immediately forgot most of what he learned because youtube dollars.
Could you possibly be more condescending?
People make this mistake all the time you’re not separating a single issue from the whole.
The two piece spark plug problem is infamous, it’s not used as an example in engineering design and failure analysis courses all over the US. The labor rates were addressed and the part revised.
That in no way indicates the…
That’s super subjective. They’re marketed at different folks.
One is a GT the other a sports car. The styling reflects that.
