Very different cars for very different markets.

As a DD the SL is honestly a better choice. It’s a big power GT with great comfort and reasonable luggage space.

In person the feel is very different.

Florida does this universally. They have a ~$1000 dealer fee they won’t budge on. That means that when you look a prices, especially on economy cars, they’re alway cheapest Florida.

Waxed for UV protection they’ll last forever. I’ve got factory paint on 5 cars all over 20 years old. They still look great. New paints are even better.

Good means different things to different people.

A factory paint job is designed to be durable and repairable. A glass custom job is very difficult to repair and is a real pain in the ass to own.

The e65 was a big downhill slide from the e38. The new cars still are tainted by the Bangle influence. They all look like giant silver blobs. They look fat, not beefy and stalwart. 

Comparing the e65 to the e38 there’s no comparison.

125 in a Corvette is very possible. There are sections where it opens up. it’s a scenic drive thus the low speed limit, not because it’s super curvy the whole way.

In a sporty car that road at 50-60 feels fun.

The tuners had seen the defeat device in operation for years but did not bother to put 2&2 together.

Do they send out an adjuster to evaluate the car at time of enrollment? If not it’s useless.
