Because as soon as you “other” people you can psychologically treat them as non equals.

Look at all the WWII propaganda branding the Japanese as rats or the Germans as monsters. This is not on the same level obviously but the trick works much the same.

This is the basis for identity politics.

In the Lincoln it’s mostly difficulty in packaging and thus thermal management issues.

Did you not read a single thing I said? Jesus.

The technology at low speed is identical to what we have now, it WILL NOT perform any different. I don’t care what Tracy says

But you can feel the difference, it’s something a driver would notice. The technical reasons are interesting but not important.

Going from 25 years of VW diesel to GDI 3 and 4 cylinders the lack of grunt right off idle is noticeable. The VW’s, especally the older ALH/AHU engines, pull like a farm tractor on tip in. The

It’s a tax write off. People don’t have to give two shits about the charity.

it’s all virtue signaling anyway.

You missed my point.

So you’re getting all the good stuff from a diesel, AND all the good stuff from a gasoline engine.

There are a few different version, I’ve actually used them personally. They’re all variation on a theme. It’s a big plastic bag with a reinforced floor. It’s closed with zippers or velcro nothing watertight.

I really really doubt this. With a stock F 150 3.5 it’s likely faster than the F 150 Raptor. I can’t see them detuning the 3.5 below F 150 spec, that puts you right on top of of the 2.7. I don’t think Ford would pair them that closely.

The 3.0 is a bit of a problem child, and there’s something to be said for the Lincoln having a bespoke engine. Maybe they’d have less cooling/packaging issues on the Ranger than in the Conti. My money is still on 2.7 or 2.3.

A slightly tuned 2.3 EB would be just fine. It won’t get the 3.5 that’s for sure.

Why are you so worried about what other people buy?

Be jealous elsewhere, if you don’t like having to look at it move out of the ‘Burbs or into a hellish HOA which does not allow driveway parking.

This is why the SV 650 and SV 1000 bikes have such a large following. I’m done with the high strung inline fours. Something like the XR 1000 has the torque down low as well.

Wut?

Sorry man, you’ve got no idea what you’re talking about here. It’s in NO WAY waterproof.

Look how it’s constructed:

That’s just an inflatable cover, you realize that right?

It’s not going to float the whole car like a raft. People who can afford cars like this have insurance, they don’t care that much.

Why are they sticking with an ancient throttle body and not going to something like infinitely variable lift camshaft(s) BMW style?

With that method you can go into atkinson cycle under spark ignition.

That whole video screams of hoax.

You sure it actually burned down?

Yet you’d blow your load for an engine like this:

That’s like saying Cummins needs to make a motor that spins to 5k from the factory or asking my CBR 600 to make peak torque at 4800 RPM
