A Ute does not really work in America where everything is based around truck payload and towing capacities. If it’s not 48" between wheel wells it’s useless.

Catia is better but Inventor is simpler. For most the smaller engineering projects I work on Inventor is just fine.

Engineering development projects can easily stretch 10 years into the future.

FYI the Ghibli has a minivan motor with a pair of turbos.

I’ve driven both and the SxS have a purpose. On sand they’re way more fun than a stock jeep. Tons of power, good suspension. Crawling on the rocks it’s a wash but here in Michigan we don’t have much of that. As a general trail and sand vehicle a SxS is a good fit.

Personally I’d get the cheap Jeep for resale value and…

Up north is the playground for Metro Detroit and Grand Rapids (to a lesser extent) of of course you’re going to have more ridiculous toys up that way. Still annoying as hell when 6 guys obviously drunk pile out of a SxS and go and buy another 50 beers.

The CRV AWD system is really weak for offroad applications. It only puts power to the rear if the front(s) are slipping and the torque it can deliver to the rear is limited.

As a winter vehicle or very light off roading it’s perfect. car/cuv AWD was new to the market at that time. Anything that did not have a transfer…

If VW still make Mk2 or Mk3 Golfs I’d still be buying them...old is not a bad thing.

I dug the first gen CRV. It had some unique storage options, a solid drivetrain if light duty AWD. It’s like a precursor to the Element which people love.

My commute dropped from 30-60 min to 10-15 min each way. Totally changed how I live my life.

Shame I can’t get the ones I really like to stick around. It’s looking more and more like it’s just going to be me and my car hoard. Cars keep you occupied and poor but not warm at night. 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Why not fit a manual choke and actually fix the car?
