We love going off on tangents here.

You got that straight.

Yeah, the mist was permanent in the story, which ended an a rather uplifting note as an affirmation that hope is always there.

It and The Stand are the real best adaptations. Shawshank Redemption wasn't really that great of an adaptation, but it is a pretty good story.

Too much Adam, though.

Do you want me to be Jill Stein for you?

Nothing flushes out a liver. A little piece of every toxin you put through it stays in it forever. If you ever get punched in the liver you can relive every toxin simultaneously while you scream silently for your life to end.

I used to watch this all the time, now the only thing I remember from it was DD shouting "WSHPADOYAHOING!" every time he did some shishi karate shit.

"Focus, Asterix!"

So, "See it in 3D," then?

The mini-NES is apparently already sold-out.

I haven't read Go Rin no Sho since the 80s, so I'm sure there must be a better translation out there by now. I DO have Eiji Yoshikawa's semi-fictional account Musashi on my bookshelf, as well as Taiko, about Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

He used that strategy several times before fighting Ganryu, notably in his duels against representatives of the Yoshioka-ryu.

His last duel with the Yoshioka-ryu was essentially a open challenge to Musashi to face the entire school simultaneously. He went straight for the head of the school (and killed him), ignored all of his students so that even if he were killed later in the battle, no one would be able to dispute that he was the winner.

It is especially wrong considering that Supergirl came out in 1984, so Great Job AV Club! with the fact checking there.

Every time I play Betrayal at House on the Hill with new people someone invariably asks "Why is this house designed like this?!" and I like to reference the Winchester house as a clear influence as to why they put the library between the kitchen and the dining room this time around.

*bow tie spins*

Oh shit, was the TV show called something else?

Three Musketeers, you can never fucking find them anywhere. Or at least I can't.

I don't have a witty comment prepared, but:
