...OK, guys? Is the directive to have slideshows so extensive that you need spread three games across six slides...? You guys doing okay?

Not to mention kids loved it and it’s done for Mario what the recent Sonic movies did for that brand in terms of general audience awarness.
This article seems to be bending over backwards to explain why its premise isn’t totally undermined by the massive success of Spiderverse. But then the MCU examples given don’t make much sense either. Ant Man 3 has very little multiverse shenanigans, and Eternals had none. On the other hand, Spider-Man No Way Home and…
My wife LOVES the Pikmin games, but I’m not sure she’s ever finished one, because she can’t stand to let any die. No-death runs are definitely possible in all the games, but they are very difficult.
The primary purpose of the app is not to teach you a language, it is to keep you hooked to the app itself. From their point of view it is better that you keep coming back to the same level than that you attain a level when the app no longer works - because at some point to progress you need to converse, read and write…
Many, many brave Pikmin will die violent deaths to save Captian Olimar. I hope the brutal guilt that will incur is worked into the story.
This is what Blizzard has done for many many years now.
They have the data from the closed end-level beta, then came the pre-order beta’s, then the server slam, then the pre-order live launch, not to mention all their in-house testing. They use that to adjust the numbers one way or the other with each round.

I hope these kinds of constant tweaks and nerfs aren’t the design philosophy going forward and this is all just because the game launches tomorrow. Because I really hate the whole micromanagement mindset of the live service model constantly screwing up the things I actually find fun in video games...
It’s a price for early adopters, but there enough of those (along with enough good will for Apple products) that I suspect this will be successful. There’s no doubt they could build a similar product at a more affordable price point in the future; just look at the iPhone.
Im working in a government department in Europe and we still use tapes in all out servers, including for the external companies and departments that we host. The face that tapes can hold anywhere from 5tb to 30tb they’re still widely used just because the price with regards to the capacity is massively inexpensive
That being said, this doesn’t surprise me. Companies are well known for this kind of behavior. When value is solely numbers driven, it results in numbers-driven cuts.
It proves nothing of the sort. The exact starting point of Pixar’s quality decline is debatable, but Lasseter didn’t leave until 2018, at which point Pixar had already served up duds like Cars 2, Brave, The Good Dinosaur, and Monsters University, and work had already begun on Lightyear.
And most importantly, “What will you do for me in the future?” I’ve seen employees who think they’re unfireable because of the one great thing they did decades ago.
That’s a shame, you missed Luca, an underrated Studi-Ghibli-esque delight.
Imagine having a brain and using it to write comments like this.
Got a good chuckle out of baked scrod, sounds like an octogenarian teabagging maneuver or something equally vomit inducing. Yes I know it’s fish... and not just decaf, need to name drop Sanka!
I’ll bet the egg couldn’t believe it, either. It must have been pretty shocked to see that geriatric sperm coming around the corner with a walker and a look of confused determination.
He’s robbing the cradle but she’s robbing the grave.
Life, uh, finds a way.
