Same - surprised at the lack of mention of the huge profit margins being reported to shareholders of commercial egg farms right now. Gouging is absolutely in play right now for unaffected farms hiding behind news headlines.

There was another, deadlier flu outbreak in 2015, but egg prices didn’t rise nearly as much then. I’ll buy that there’s increased demand, but there’s also been a lot less market competition in recent years.

IMO, the number one thing to increase your credibility is to admit you don’t know something when you don’t know something. However, follow that up with “...but I will find out for you” and then follow through with that.

In a just world Walmart would pay all of their workers enough that none of them would have to use SNAP. Everyone who pays federal taxes, whether we shop at Walmart or not, effectively gives charity *to* the company by making up part of what should be their payroll. Sorry author but this isn’t going to sway me at all. Mainly because of the amount I may donate 300 max all year with these (I tripled my estimate). For one, it’s easy and the cons don’t really matter.

I served on a jury for a murder trial two years ago. I really think there should be something that then exempts you from ever doing it again. It’s a little traumatic hearing all the testimony and looking at crime scene photos and evidence that are real, and not part of some TV show or something.

The best time to get your flu shot is whenever it is offered to you. Countless thousands, perhaps millions of people, refuse a flu shot for no good reason when it is (almost certainly) free and effective. Especially considering kids are back in school in-person this year, these petri dishes of disease will proliferate…

An article about the term and backlash to it is giving the term more attention than it deserves. It needs to be cancelled, dropped, and ignored, not written about.
