I recycled a broken hose reel for extension cords and was very happy with the results.

Too bad no 1313.
Northern Virginia seems insanely expensive. But then you throw San Francisco, Boston or New York into the mix and....not so much.
Its possible, but you really have to decide what you are spending money on. You definitely will not be getting newish cars. Daycare is the real problem.
what a mercenary article. A company is like a ship. It carries many people. Those people have to work together or it stinks. And the captain of the ship has to do what they think is in it's best interest.
Great article. I'd include asking relevant questions, or trying to come up with them. Showing that you are fully engaged with the topic is also a nice plus too.
Shouldn't be married and have kids be #1 and #2? Especially considering the ramifications of trying to quit either of those.
I'd definitely like to see what tools Harry Houdini couldn't live without. My guess is he didn't need anything.
Its hard. It's not impossible. Silver lining = you get paid. Don't like shareholders, find a private company to work at.
You gotta be kidding me. Where's the bucket? That's #1 on the list.
That's good if you are saving. I don't like the concept. The concept is that you are saving everytime you spend, which is ludicrous.
I didn't say that not spending is a fair solution. I just said what needed to be done. Hard decisions have to be made. Hard decisions are made. It stinks, and I feel bad, but that's the way it is.
#1 I keep thinking of office space
depends on who you ask for advice.

BAD, BAD IDEA. Email will just make it worse. It is impossible to convey emotions or intent properly in an email, and that will usually spiral things out of control. Just try to calm down first.
You have to be kidding me. Maybe the first 90 days is nuts, but vacation days are there to be used. Especially with a family, it is going to be a hard sell to tell them not even a single day off for the first year.
Also, car rentals come with an option to get a child seat.
I love that. That is such awesome advice.
