On my 1982 Dodge Charger (Omni 024) it had a stick shift that was about 2 ft long so I build a wooden column around it out of unused flooring planks that I found in the garage. In hindsight I should have been tarred and feathered but at 17 I thought I was cool.

Unfortunately a bad run of Two Job layoffs back to back lasting 18 months forced me to part with my ‘68 Charger, Red on the outside and white interior. 383 Big block with a 3.55 sure grip. Sold it to the Mayor of our city only to find out he flipped it for a profit without giving me a chance at buying it back.…
