Yeah it’s super dangerous! A friend of mine had ovarian torsion and blood supply to the ovary was cut off and she developed gangrene internally. She was in a lot of pain at the time, but thankfully other than losing that ovary she’s fine today.

The same thing happened to me (minus the quitting drinking). I have PCOS and around 30 my hormones went way out of control. Even as a teenager my skin wasn’t as bad as it was when I was 31. I finally saw an endocrinologist and got put on some meds, including spironolactone for the hormonal acne. It’s seriously been a…
Yeah, my skin was clear for years and PCOS was under control, and then I went off of birth control because I was lazy and not dating anyone. I developed terrible skin and cystic acne, got a Mirena which didn’t help, and then finally saw an endocrinologist for the PCOS and got put on some meds including spironolactone…
Thanks for sharing this. Lots of women, especially women older than mid-20s stll get their annual Pap. I wish I could go longer without a Pap and colpo but because I’ve had years of abnormal Paps (thankfully never needed a LEEP) I still get to go every year. I’m just happy I’m finally on a 1x/year Pap schedule - for a…
The cost now is like $125/shot, so for $375 you could finish the series. Still not cheap, especially for low-income women. But it’s not like getting the Hepatitis C treatment which costs like $90,000.
Yeah, I got my shots when I was 22 or 23. Thankfully my mom told me she really really wanted me to get them and she’d pay for the cost for me and my sisters (she was an OB nurse so there was none of that squeamishness about her daughters and sex). The cost was something like $300-$500 per shot. She actually only ended…
Yeah when one of the annoying twins was talking about how she’s never worked with plus size models before, the judges were like, “what are you even talking about? That girl is tiny! She’s not plus sized!”
Thanks! I know you can’t speak to specifics, but that’s good to know that generally speaking she would probably be eligible for an adjustment. They’re going to see an immigration attorney so hopefully the attorney will say the same thing.
Question (since you sound like someone who’s familiar with immigration law) - if they were here legally at one point, they don’t have to wait 10 years outside the country? My sister’s girlfriend is looking into an adjustment of status (they’re planning to get married) and was here legally on a visa at one point.
Speidi’s kid is going to rebel by becoming a total technophobe, refusing to use social media, and ultimately end up moving to a remote cabin with no electricity and running water.
McConnell doesn’t have the power to impeach Trump. The House impeaches, and impeachment trials are held in the Senate. Paul Ryan is way too busy licking Trump’s balls to impeach.
This article made me really sad, and I’m sorry you have to deal with this. It’s amazing the willful blindness some people have to reality. This article did remind me of some of my frustrations with my mom. She’s one of those white liberals who means well but has a big blind spot when it comes to race, which is crazy…
Good luck! I hope the evaluation goes well and you get some answers. And just an FYI - there are other disorders that have similar symptoms to ADHD (like anxiety disorders) so the key is to find a good psychiatrist to diagnose you.
When someone first suggested I get evaluated for ADHD, I thought it was ridiculous. I wasn’t hyper! I got tired super easily, so it couldn’t be ADHD because ADHD means you have energy! I was a great student! I kept getting promoted at work!
This is so true. I just got diagnosed with ADHD this spring at age 33. My brother was diagnosed in elementary school. But because I was always a stellar student, I fell through the cracks. Sure, I was messy and disorganized, talked too much, fidgeted, procrastinated, etc. But I was a really good student and was always…
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, and my doctor told me that it has a strong genetic component and tends to run in families (my brother has it too). So if all of your family has ADHD, chances are pretty good that she would’ve had it anyway.
Lol yeah no. I tried this for years before I finally realized that I just can’t have bangs, and it was a horrible look for me. My hair is more wavy than curly and I have a ton of hair, but it’s fine and tends to frizz. Bangs on me just ended up sticking out in weird directions and looking super frizzy. Not my best…
