Aston Martin Vantage. I know they have changed the grille from the original catfish version, but they need to do it properly with an actual change of shape that makes it less like the face of sad goldfish.

It’s being sold by a dealer who seems to specialise in non runners and restoration projects. I suspect they have a significant margin already in the asking price. ND price but I bet there is some room to negotiate.

Possible but considering Mazepin’s Dad is effectively bankrolling the team, I suspect it would have more likely been Mick as the sacrificial lamb if this was the case.

A Ferrari 365GTB4 Daytona has a 33 US gallon tank as standard, and most front engine v12 Ferrari’s of the era have similar sized tanks so this doesn’t seem that surprising to me.

Not sure if he had a fresh set but even a set of scrubbed softs used for one qualifying run probably would have been better than 30 plus lap old hard tyres.

They could have opted to finish the race under safety car, probably the most correct thing as per the regulations but would have made for poor viewing. It is clearly what Mercedes assumed would and should have happened as it was the reason they kept Hamilton out, due to where he was on the circuit he did not have the

One of those that is ND straight off the headline without even reading the description. Stretched E classes are not uncommon in Europe and usually used for funeral services.

This certainly felt like this was a ‘has to finish under Green no matter what scenario about it’ and the FIA contrived that and Hamilton paid the price.

A Red Bull 1-2 would give them 42 points. A Mercedes finishing 3rd and the other DNF would give Red Bull the constructors by having more wins. I agree this is a relatively unlikely scenario but not so far out of the realms of possibility that Red Bull’s race planning would encourage Perez to try and take out Hamilton

It’s not in Red Bull’s interest to do that anyway. The constructors title is still at stake which is the more financially lucrative prize for the teams. Red Bull need good scores from both drivers and Mercedes to not score well to win it.

Same colour as the first E36 I had. Nostalgic NP.

With next year’s rules being a total reset I’m not sure Aston is an upgrade on Alfa as a team. Ferrari have given a lot of personnel to Alfa so that Ferrari can meet the budget cap, plus I think Alfa Romeo have increased it’s investment in the team. I suspect with Bottas at the wheel they will move up to being a solid

In the UK where Lunaz mentioned in the article operates, a car that is more than 40 year’s is exempt from the annual MOT inspection (broadly analogous to your NY inspection). However if a car is significantly modified from it’s original specification it looses that exemption so these EV converted cars would actually

On the standing starts I believe the rules now dictate that it should be a standing start after a red flag unless it is a wet race and visibility is poor. The commentary were speculating but it was always going to be a standing start in both cases.

Now playing

Terrible movie but the cars in the 70's movie the Swiss Conspiracy are great including a chase sequence between two genuine Ferrari Daytona Spyders

Probably the same irrational reasons that most people buy most so called collector cars.

All the links seem to point to yesterday’s Porsche Boxster rather than this Citroen. It’s an interesting car but ND at this price. If you really wanted one you could probably import one from Europe for less than the asking price of this.

There is what looks like an original firewall with a brass chassis plate…it would be interesting to see what number is on it!
