Never tried a Kyalami/ Longchamp myself but from people I know that have say they are surprisingly good to drive. My guess is the 308GT4 would be much more fun on a Sunday canyon drive, a Kyalami/ Longchamp better on a weekend road trip that included some fun but not too taxing roads.

Looks like, from what I understand of the history of De Tomaso/ Maserati I’m sure that is exactly what happened. As they only sold a few hundred of these in total a professional shoot would probably have wiped out any profit they made.

The one wrinkle in all this is Russell is very tall for an F1 driver at just over 6ft and around 4 inches taller than Hamilton or Bottas. Tthe height difference may be a factor especially as Mercedes must be close to finalising the concept for next year’s car and would it have to compromised to accomodate Russell’s

Looking at this from the UK this seems nice price all the way (subject to inspection). A late model convertible XJS at the this price is likely to be full of rust / and or a barely running here and even in Europe.

Luca was the Ferrari F1 team manager during the Lauda era and also had been in charge of organising the 1990 Football World Cup before taking on the head of Ferrari position. He certainly changed the focus of the company to focus the cars more on usability.

I susppose I am a Ferrari Stan but I certainly don’t measure the state of the company by the F1 team? I’m more interested in them making cars I actually desire to own, which for the last ten years they have not really been ticking the boxes on (new Roma perhaps excepted and also an admission that I’m not the only one

Quick look at other X1/9's on the market and this is certainly reasonable money for one if it is structurally sound. NP subject to inspection.

Surely the follow on question would be to wonder what colour was the Mustang SVO that magically arrived on the drive of  the Government official who certified the SVO’s speedo.

Good ones of these are asking double that back in Europe. I suspect this is one of those cars that 99% of people don’t get but there is 1% of die hard Alfa enthusuaists who will think this is NP and pay accordingly.

I’m knocking on the door of 50 and if the possible work move to the US (from the UK) comes off at the end of the year, one of these or the new Z could well be on the top of my list for my daily there. The Z might be favourite though solely because it is not coming to the UK and the GR86 is so there is the whole

Becuase the early ones at least were not very good. My Father brought one brand new when they first came out, absolutely hated it, and traded it for a Ferrari 575 after 3 weeks. His main gripes were the uncomfortable seats no matter how they were adjusted, and the extreme rake of the windscreen which made it feel like

ND due to the hail damage and the pain it will be trying to fix it.

It’s wearing the front valance, side skirts and wheels of the later Arnage T. It also seems way under priced for the market considering the claimed mileage.

Indeed except for maybe the Ferrari 512 Boxer, Lamborghini Countach and Porsche’s own 930 I doubt you could buy anything faster than a manual 928S that year (In Europe anyway where the S rocked a full 300bhp, but can’t think of anything in the US either).

I suspect these were a little underrated. I drove an early Euro 928 4.5 manual and it felt like it had a lot more than the 240hp quoted.

Weird one as the car could well be worth far more than that but I’m going ND as the ad is so light on detail, I’m guessing there is either an undisclosed issue with the car or it is scam ad. There is quite a variation in 928 values (BaT price tracker below) but the ask here seems more in the range of tired automatic

There’s a cool restomod version that has been built in the UK recently https://tolmanengineering.co.uk/project-talbot-sunbeam-lotus-racecar/

It’s still very early to tell with Mazepin after 5 races of which all he has qualifyed with the 107% cut off, but he is certainly in with a shout of being the worst in the current hybrid (and alsopretty reliable F1 car) era.

Toyota have recently reintroduced the Camry to the UK market but I have yet to see one on the roads?

Porsche 944S2 only car that has required me to call out roadside assistance - twice. Cost a fortune everytime it saw the inside of a garage. Great to drive though.
