Current E Pace is on a very old platform (the E Pace weighs as much as the F Pace) guess the next one will be on the same platform of second gen Evoque. No idea how easy it would be to adapt that platform to a lower riding car?

I’m currently running an XE and it is a very underrated car. I brought it mainly because I was bored with BMW’s after four in a row, the local Mercedes dealer was an idiot and nothing in Audi’s range appealled. I did look at a Lexus RC but the deal was massively better on the Jag and it is also much nicer to drive.
Where I live in the UK there is a 1 series on every corner. At one point in out street 6 of the twelve houses had a 1 Series.
To add to your confusion they also don’t makes the engine and gearbox themselves either. The engine’s are built by engineering firm Riccardo ( the engine itself is extremely loosely based on a Nissan racing engine) and the gearboxes by Graziano in Italy. So thoose employees are building the chassis, interior and doing…
They were disqualified during the season from the constructors championship but without that yes they would have won in 2007.
My Bad
And won the Bathurst 1000 twice, His V8 Supercars experience is probably slightly more relevant to NASCAR than his GT3 drives.
Pretty famous is an understatement he is probably in the top 5 English sporting heroes in the last 20 years.
I wonder if there is an internal memo from Ford of Europe in the 90.s just before the Ford Escort Mark V was launched describing it as pretty lame product compared to the VW Golf and frankly every other car in it’s class? If not I bet there was one not long after launch!
Unfortunately not I should have said 6 speed auto. Jaguar did build a one off ‘RR’ version with a six speed manual and I think the complete rear suspension lifted from the S Type R (that generation XK was still using the very old XJS platform). It never made production but did feature on a Top Gear TV test
The 04 and 05 models got some further styling tweaks which I think make it look a better car, but at least this has the 4.2 engine and the 6 speed.
I assume none of the rescheduled F1 races will have support races as they want the minimum number of people at the circuit as possible. Also not having support races means more space in the paddock for social distancing between the teams.
I had a later 944S2 and don’t ever recall the shifter being sloppy? Anyway high mileage makes this borderline and if it was one of 16v engines I would be in CP but as an 8V just creeps over the NP line.
It seems a nice example of an undesirable car (in base auto form at least). For me CP. Now about that 450SL...
Hmm never driven a Ghibli, but I own its direct rival from down the road in Maranello and I have lots of patience, partly which you need on a car that takes a good 15 minutes of warming up before setting off, and a least another 20 minutes of gentle driving before everything is at its peak. For that matter I don’t…
It might be the longest Podcast ever but Chris Harris’ Podcast with Nicky Grist is a brilliant listen. He talks extensively about Kankkunen and Penti Airikkala before obviously delving into his time with McRae.
Hmm idle thought, get together a complete set of body panels and see if you could reverse the usual process and turn a Ferrari 308 into a Fiero replica?
It does look good, I’m disappointed that it is not mid engined and using the Alpine A110 platform though, mainly as that would have given the latter a fighting chance of surviving Renault’s planned cuts.
I suspect there is a small number of people with a fetish for low mileage cars that will buy it and for them it is NP, but for the majority (including me) this is CP.
