And whine about it endlessly too, like the Jalop NYC writers?

So dynamic! So Powerful! So energetic!

I’d like to see an installment of Cargument on whether this car is ugly and look cheap.

Also woefully underestimating the number of people who tailgate without thinking, or paying attention to what’s ahead. This is surprising for someone who lives in the Los Angeles area. Plus, I believe Mazda’s system (and probably other systems like it) will automatically apply the brakes.

With a name like Skipper, he was very lucky to not get a prison sentence.

It says in Chinese: “orange man ass hat”.

The correct title should be:

Rear door isn’t shut. Obviously. Plus, it may just be a pre-production mule. Coworker just took delivery of a 3 and the panel gaps on it are nowhere near as bad as the overhyped clickbait stories. On par with current production cars of other brands.

The cars are hand painted? that’s insane. No wonder they can’t build cars fast enough.

But for daily driving (as the only vehicle you own), will it kill your soul?

Yet another failed luxury compact by GM/Cadillac. When are they gonna learn?

Yes. You are right. But the heads up display is a pretty nice thing to have. The other feature not mentioned before is the around view monitor, which they call 360 view monitor. Though I am not sure which trims it comes in. Don’t have that info memorized. Visit the mazdausua.com page. The details are there.

You think software licensing is free? It’s not. Mazda is a small company with limited resources. It has to prioritize expenditures. Better driving and looking cars vs. the latest in connectivity. Improvements in cabin noise levels and driver/passenger comfort vs connectivity.

It grew up. It got a job. It got a house. It got bills to pay.

And it took Audi more than 10 years to go from FWD to rear biased AWD. Mind you, the FWD A4 is still offered (and probably sold in higher numbers than the quattro variant).

Not all marketing. Lots of concepts serve as design studies; for the designers to explore where they could take the brand and its production models... with no holds barred. It’s called back-casting. You design something to your ultimate vision, then backtrack from there to arrive as something more realistic on a mass

Because it’s moot to beat a dead horse.

Concepts are just ideas. Can’t be taken too seriously, or literally.

A car can be up-market AND FWD. See history of Audi A4. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to expect a AWD Mazda6 in the future. There’s already been plenty of reporting on this.

The obvious answer, sales figures. People didn’t buy enough manuals to make a business case for it. In the corporate environment, decisions have to be backed by business case. Things usually aren’t done just because Joe Schmoe felt like it.
