It’s future proofing, but it’s not so much to raise the manufacturer’s own standard of living. Like the Japanese brands, the Korean brands are trying to “grow” and “mature” with their customers. Now they’ve established themselves in the global market with what was once entry-level offerings at every category... As

Pfft... finger print reader is so yesterday. Everything should work like this now (sarcasm):

Regardless of how the companies function financially... the platforms and drivetrains are largely the same, save for minor details.

Hyundai itself isn’t in the luxury segment. They are simply upping their game, adding premium design and content, to secure their value-conscious proposition. They spun the Genesis model into its own luxury brand and adding two additional (for now) models. KIA has not spun off the K900 into a separate luxury brand.

This isn’t the T-Roc that is all over my Instagram feed but is not part of the US line-up (yet)?

Several years ago while I was working/living in Vegas I was written up for 2 mph over the speed limit. It was late afternoon. I was carpooling home with a coworker. We had worked over 16 hours the day before and were beat. The freeway was clear except for a pack of traffic, creeping along like a blood clot in an

STAMPEDE!!

I was a bit distracted when I typed that... by AA I meant CarPlay.

Raptor Bronco. Do it, Ford.

Lots of people think they’re “car guys” but really aren’t. I met one once, a brit, who didn’t know how to use a screw driver to put on a license plate.

“you gotta give them credit for getting it done”

Yah sorry. I thought I was replying to someone else. Clicked on yours instead. Anyway, yes, limited resources is to blame for them being behind on this front. AWD is definitely coming (and sooner than reported). Diesel is also coming. I know it’s been floated for a long time. But, it’s very close from what I’ve seen.

Possible reason, and already mentioned by Tom in the write-up, sedan sales are soft now (because of consumer preference towards CUVs). This means competition is stiff as all of the manufacturers are competing for a smaller pool of would-be sedan buyers.

It’s coming. Do not know if it will be in the ‘18 Mazda6 but AA is definitely coming to Mazda. The Mazda logo is now listed on the official AA page on apple.com. It wasn’t before.

You’re missing a turbo and the extra power the Mazda6 sorely needed.

Google and Apple both require licensing agreements and fees. Mazda is a small company with limited resources. It has to prioritize. As a company that is more focused on driving dynamics, it’s pretty obvious why infotainment systems have received less attention. AA is definitely coming. Mazda was not listed as a

Did you think AA and AC are free to manufacturers? No. They require licensing agreements and fees. Mazda is a small car company with limited resources (just 2% of global marketshare). They have to prioritize between development good driving chassis, efficient and reliable drivetrains, the latest in safety and the

It’s coming in the not too distant future. Proof? Go to https://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/. Mazda is now listed as one of the supporting manufacturers. It wasn’t before.

Tom,
