The first 5 minutes of this installment blew me away and made the entire two seasons of Grand Tour look downright archaic. It’s pretty clear where Amazon’s money has gone to—four contracts and not much else.

As a former VW owner, agree with you for the most part. Sampled a TDI Golf a couple of years ago, despite the cheat it was quite nice. Not long before that, did ride in a base Jetta... it was crap. My point? take the base trim of just about anything and you are guaranteed to have an uninspiring experience.
