Fast cars are also more sexy and newsworthy. The Bullit has that going for it as well as being “real”.
Not just lame, it’s unethical. Why? because they are seeking to profit off of another business entities intellectual property. I understand there are licensing costs for them, but that cost should be figured into the cost of each vehicle they sell. For as much as each BMW costs, they can’t possibly say the sale price…
Since when are employee departures always due to firing?
Castrator.
And Mazda has been doing this like... forever?
Clean but not very original. The clean lines come from the BMW 5 series of the time. The 5 cylinder engine aims for Audi’s own. This was Honda’s entry into a segment dominated by the Germans. They needed to say “we can do it too” before establishing their own path in design and engineering.
Ah yes... let the hipster fake outrage out.
Not the first time a manufacturer rename a common feature to make it appear more unique.
Lots of places for Bubba to stash his guns.
And there in lies the problem with EPA MPG ratings and turbo engines. Tests are conducted under specific conditions and manufacturers “hack” calibrations to hit a certain MPG figure under those conditions. This means in real world driving you will never see matching results.
Well hang on to yer hats boys and girls. Cars & Coffee all over this great land is about to get even more sideways.
Sigh. Yup, people who don’t know BMWs just don’t get it. Not even “professional auto journalists”.
Whatever. We live in a materialistic and capitalistic society—it is what it is. I want to know who (Art Director, agency and vendor) produced the piece. Nice job.
Would love to see them couple this mild hybrid system with their diesel.
Because there are lots of people out there who mistaken “different” for “good”. It’s how the Aztek got made.
Chevy is in fact still selling a similar mild hybrid Silverado nationwide today. GM is just, for some reason, choosing not to market it.
Considering their man is the former chief engineer of BMW’s M division, I would hope so.
LOL! You, sir, should be a Jalop staff writer.
