and they both share a universe with Commander Keen...as Billy Blaze is B.J.’s grandson

That’s just...too perfect

Honestly? No. No it isn’t.

This is a fantastic and comprehensive look at the scene, Brian. Very enjoyable.

Damn, that was a great read. I started the SFV scene in the previous city I lived in, and I can totally relate to the struggle of building a scene. It was in Québec City and most of the players worked in the videogame industry for companies like Ubisoft, Frima Studio, etc. Having a steady playerbase was thus

You can trade Pachinko balls for prizes, then immediately go next door to the Pachinko owned pawnshop and trade the prizes for their cash value.

*Insert witty comment about people only willing to play Melee if someone pays them*

This is as one sided as The Rock vs. Billy Gunn in a Kiss My Ass match at SummerSlam 99.

Or “Kevin Hart to replace Tyrese Gibson in Fast and Furious franchise”

Games assets and engine don’t usually play nice or conform easily with weaker hardware. If a Devs spent 3-5 years making a game for a specific hardware limit like Doom which is 70ish gigs on ps4, compressing Audio, textures and alot sorts of backend effects to 25 is pretty amazing.

Scott Eastwood put in a worse performance than that CGI vault in the fifth one.

Honestly, it’s time to start shaming the parents. Didn’t we hear about the supposed issues of Tamir Rice’s parents before the child was even buried? If her parents don’t denounce her then they’re complicit imo. This is where the internets can use its powers, out them all.

You’re welcome! I refused to put out a “cute” pic if I could help it. Thankfully a mugshot came through!

I think I can speak for many people, black or white, when I say:

At the start of the game, BJ is wracked by injuries sustained at the end of The New Order. To compensate for his physical deficiencies, he dons a suit of power armor used by resistance leader Caroline Becker.

The compass stuff is great until it isn’t. Games like Elder Scrolls for instance, when you have a handful of missions going on at once with different elevations, the compass system becomes a giant mess of arrows/markers covering up other markers. Minimap is fine.

Yes, I hate compass systems and I love mini-maps. I don’t spend the whole game looking at them. I just glance over every now and then if I’m a bit lost. So much better than opening a whole map.

+1 for good UX recommendation. Why take away user control when you can provide user CHOICE instead. A toggle to display or hide the map provides the best experience possible to the individual user.

Removing them entirely is a horrible idea.
