I would argue staying home in fear is not what they want. They’d rather we be out in large, easy-to-kill groups. They don’t want us hiding, they want us dead.

Perhaps I’m a little thick (I am), but don’t we have a shortfall of raw materials for any energy source we move to? All the energy has to be stored in something and that something will require we produce it using another raw material.
