Just the opposite. You want people to use them. Facebook/Twitter will be the official public squares and zero censorship would be allowed. All bots would have to be removed. It would become a clean and tidy place, not concerned with profit.

Nationalize Twitter and Facebook, break up the rest into smaller non-monopolistic pieces.

If we go down this path, a path that has a very high probability of backfiring, we need expendable members of congress on the hook for the idea. Omar, Rashida, AOC, and Ayanna at the very least.
