Get that many people in one place, and the odds that at least one of them has norovirus goes pretty much to 100%

Not to go all Sartre, but that is my idea of hell: 8000+ people in a densely-populated apartment building with no reasonable means of escape most of the time.
I live in Florida. It's hot as hell down here and no color reflects as much heat. Silver is OK, yellow probably works, but white cars stay the coolest.
I live in the South.
After living in the desert for a few years, white is the best color for a car. I would like to be able to touch my vehicle without suffering injury, I would like the interior to be less oven-like, and I would like my clear coat to not flake, and a color that is fully desaturated cannot fade.
The fact they never quite close right is infuriating to me.
That looks like the face of a spider.
And, probably unpopular opinion, but ALL POP-UP HEADLIGHTS look horrible when they are up. They only look good when you can’t see them, making them the worst looking headlight design while in use, but pretty freaking nice when they are down.
‘65 Riviera. I have a weird weakness for stacked sealed beams already, but hiding them behind some magnificent clamshell covers is even better.
I think of the current mass produced cars that Volvo has some of the nicest sets. Hammer of Thor lights!

I think we can all agree, this site is not known for good science communicators.
How heathy in the long term? Probably at least as healthy as eating beef, Doritos, frozen dinners, and restaurant food.
I thought you might have a point until you brought out “chemicals.” EVERYTHING IS CHEMICALS. Your entire body contains chemicals. Bad argument.
Ha, “heavily processed”; silliest argument in this whole debate.
No, not really “to a point.” If we have an acre deforested for crops vs an acre deforested for grazing, it will always be better for it to be crops. There will never be some point or level of scale where this relationship flips and cattle would be the more environmentally friendly choice.
Take some minor solace in just how few people are even reading this piece, let alone those actually influenced by it.
What is this site’s issue with plant based meat substitutes? The numbers presented in the article show that its very clearly better in terms of environmental impact. Not a small improvement either, clearly very much better. But all the articles this site publishes are things like this trying to downplay it, or whining…
The part that really sticks out to me is the note that many of the crops that go into plant-based meat contribute to deforestation. While correct, these crops contribute far less to deforestation than clearing land to graze cattle. And even if we ignore the grazing, another really major cause of deforestation is feed…
The planet is being destroyed and all for a burger? We need action now, we don't have Planet B 💚
