I think it’s more likely that the ability to classify the SUV/CUV as a light truck and having it not affect a manufacturers CAFE is more of the reason that they were rammed in over station wagons/estates in the US. Once the auto makers realized the profit margin was much higher in addition to gaming the CAFE standard,

Yeah, my ‘13 Edge had the same set up as my ‘15 X5. BMW went away from the centering turn signal stalk (aka it goes back to the middle after you turn the indicator on) for anything newer than ‘18 I believe.

I have an ‘18 X3 M40i, it is an actually fun to drive (much better than my ‘17 S6 was) CUV and pretty roomy. I still enjoy driving it, even though I’ve had it for almost 2 years (which is rare for me) and would buy it again. Macans are nice (small inside), but get really pricey once they are optioned up similar to the

That’s how all my vehicles have worked...

You are correct, please go look at the “light up” kidney grills you can spec on an X6...

The BMW forums I frequent (Bimmerpost and Bimmerfest) seem to universally hate these grills though.  So, it seems that BMW is even ignoring people that are current owners in favor of those with bad taste.  I will say, at least on the X7, the grill is better in person than photos, it is proportional to the size of the

I just used $0 down on a finance (not lease) for ease of calculations. I assume most people put down at least 10% on their vehicles. If I was ordering either of the wagons I would be paying cash, if I order the Cayenne I will take out a small loan.  I’ve leased one vehicle, and that will be the one and only one I ever

$10k to most people in this price bracket is not that big of a deal, unless you are stretching it should be doable. Running a quick check on loan price $80k @ 2.89%, 60 months, $0 down is $1433/month. $70k @ 2.89%, 60 months, $0 down is $1254 (edit to add, the 2.89% is the current loan rate at my CU). That is only a

I see this as more of a direct competitor to the MB E450 wagon, which also starts at $66k. I have driven the MB, it is perfectly nice, and over $83k built to my spec. I am going to be looking at one of these, and assume it will be in the same ballpark. I don’t think the price is too high for the US market, the Jag XF

CP, because I test drove a 2015 Q7 TDI and it was miserable. Horrible handling, odd seat ergonomics and brakes that smoked after two trial panic stops (something I do on all of my test drives, as I have my kids in the car 99% of the time and live in ATX, where driving is often a contact sport). I really wanted to like

Yes, the big 3 CUVs have body roll in spades, but move to something German and that likely goes away (not in a Q7 though, that will just feel like driving an early 00's full size pickup). Go drive a BMW X3 M40i, it isn’t a full M, but it is fast and can handle just as well or better than any sedan, little body roll

Bias?  No dude, just telling you exactly what I saw, when sitting in my S6 next to a 4x4 Ram 1500, stock from factory.  Regardless, attacking me doesn’t change the fact that it is unnerving to be at head level of the massive bumper and grille on modern full size pickups.

You called it a Bro Truck, to me that means lifted...

Is that even lifted?  The factory spec F150/Ram 1500/Silverado all would have had front bumpers through my window, right at head height in my S6.  I really think the SUV craze is in response to the pickup as commuter vehicle craze, who wants to contemplate death at every intersection?

I have a theory that these massive, full size pickups, and their ubiquity, are why SUV/CUVs are so prevalent. When I had my S6, it was very unnerving to be next to a factory spec full size, and realize the only thing that would stop the bumper from coming through the window, and into the cabin is the thin B pillar on

Maybe, but my Uncle had an ‘86 S10 w/ the V6 that was also a piece of garbage.  So that is 2 out of 2 for being crap.  Although, my Aunt had an ‘89 S10 Blazer with zero issues.

It didn’t have the 350, but the S10 was just a shoddy vehicle, pretty much everything broke at some point and I doubt the V8 means better quality everything else (80's GM interiors were garbage). I’m sure someone will enjoy this one, but I still say it is a CP.

People that swap out Corvette taillights on their old Chevy pickups are dumb, more than paint is needed to fix this thing. Also, my first vehicle was an ‘87 S10, and that memory alone makes me say CP.

A “true Texan” would have bought the Lone Star Edition Ram, not the Laramie...

I had a ‘17 S6, the back seat is actually quite large.  I think the front seats are just as far back as they can go in that picture.
