While I can see automakers tying up with tech companies, one thing I wonder about is power companies. GM will install you a charger if you buy a Bolt. Why not one step further? As utility companies become more privatized, I can see them getting in on the game as a way to offset grid upgrades.

Buddy of mine has a minivan. They have 3 kids; 2 in car seats. It’s got dual sliding doors, rear climate, etc. plus all the accompanying kid gear in the back. They want a 4-door Sierra, because ‘I hate the thought of being seen in a minivan’. Never mind the practicality, mileage, and convenience.
