Compressive strength isn’t carbon fibre’s forte. Tensile strength is its forte.

“...I doubt nissan’s posiion changed any minds...”

Wireless charging is far too inefficient to ever be practical for high-power loads like an automobile. Then there’s the problem with RF interference and safety.

I feel empathetic.

I visit the Civic X forum where they had a poll on favorite color. The grays were overwhelming favorites— much to my dismay. I had hoped that gray would be completely played out by now but once again I’m punked by the tyranny of the marketplace.

Paying $300 too much is “having a wonderful experience”? And as far as bringing a car back for warantee repairs—the dealers make money on the repairs. They’ll be glad to have your business and still obligated even if they aren’t.

Belt drive for the camshafts. Not cool.

This is a way to beat the dealership monopoly on new bike sales. With the right price and right bike, I’d definitely go this way. I hate buying from dealerships.

The gen IV Prius and Hyundai Ioniq hybrids will be EPA rated at about 55mpg. Hyundai hasn’t priced the Ioniq in North America yet but they claim it costs about $4k extra for the hybrid drivetrain. The hybrid will pay for itself eventually even at today’s gas prices. Is the PHEV worth it? Depends on your local market.

I just rode a Polaris RZR up to Rice Peak in Arizona. You won’t get there in a Ranger; a short Jeep, maybe, but then you’re talking a lot more money. Oh, and SxSs are street legal in AZ with a license.

Regarding 5th gear, the spy car act:

The kind of dealer experience I want is zero experience. I want to be able to organize a group buy with 10 other people in my area that want the same car I do, hire a transport truck and driver to pick up our cars the same place the dealer gets his and at the same price, then we all meet at a vacant parking lot to

I like it too. I think of it as a hybrid Subaru Forester. I’ll be watching this for more info. I don’t understand why S-AWC would need two motors though. Why not just let the engine power the front wheels and the electric motor the rear wheels?

Thanks for this. The 600 sedan was my first car and the funnest car I have ever driven. It also cost less new than the driver seat of my Acura RSX. I loved the 600 very much and completely understand how special they are. I’m looking forward to the video series.

Battery exchanges also assume that all batteries are equal—a false assumption.

This! Or just give us the CRF250M that Europeans can buy.

Hydrogen at 690 bar (about 10kpsi) has an energy density of 4.5 MJ/L compared to 0.9 to 2.6 MJ/L for a lithium-ion battery. The real problem for hydrogen-powered cars is not infrastructure. That could be built out pretty quickly if the demand were there. It’s that gasoline is cheap and abundant right now so there’s no

I agree. The hill I would coast down (off a mesa) would get me going 50mph in neutral, the speed limit, with only idling gas consumption. If I left my car in D, I could only manage about 35mph at the bottom and I’d have to accelerate to 50; wasting all that kinetic energy. Also, the wear on the transmission from

Perhaps this toll road would be profitable if users didn’t have to pay for the toll road and then pay for the competitive roads too via fuel taxes and then fork over a big cut to the State of Texas on top of all that.
