Brand new tires have an oil on them so they don’t stick to the mold. On a bike this matters a LOT more - ALWAYS chill for the first 30-40 miles after you get new sneakers!!!

Pope is still a head of state and a “high ranking visiting dignitary”. I am a die hard atheist but I still feel this is acceptable. It’s not using it for religious purposes, just diplomatic ones to a religious AND state leader.

If you want this kind of bike for 6k there are better options. That’s a lot of coin for something with this kind of limits and no special history.

My grandparents had a great Deutz tractor on the farm (big IL farm, so plenty of big toys). All the new gear was Deere, but there was an ancient Ford and then the Deutz, maybe from the 60’s. 35 years of heavy use and it still kicked ass.

Yup. I have a “Faster” old Mercedes diesel, 3.0 turbo 6. Brand new it was a 10 second car!! (0-60 in 10ish seconds... maybe). Now 28 years later? 0-60 eventually.

I bought it over two years ago for $3800. No AC, broken odometer and it had been sitting too long. I had a friend do a slow easy charge on the AC with the bad stuff, changed the oil and all the fuel filters, some of the vacuum lines and just drove it. I didn’t want to dump a lot into it without having spent time…

I used this film to try and explain the meaning of “McGuffin” to my wife.... She just wanted to know what it was, in spite of how it really doesn’t matter to the film at all WHAT is in the case, only that they want it. It’s the perfect example.

And that is the best reason to drive/ride anything. Because it’s FUN!!!
