I have an 87 300 SDL. Love it. Slow as hell.... 0-60 eventually. But just so classy, and really a dream on the highway.

Holy shit. Me too. And yet I have never felt the need to brandish them or point them at anyone (myself included!). I know there are tons of sensible, responsible gun owners down here, but these people really do a great job campaigning for stronger gun laws! I hope it works...
Because, having been to many of them, it really is the biggest and best Disney. All relative though, I could happily never go back to any of them.
Legal to have in FL, but must be kept concealed. Waving it around is a big no no.
Hamburg. For realz. I was quite surprised how many I saw trolling the reeperbahn. Apparently it is the Harley capital of Europe.
I have a little itty bitty 23HP subcompact Kubota (BX25D). I could easily move cars with it (not pick up and move, but lift a corner and shove). 180HP is a shitload when you have gearing for full throttle that is less than 1MPH.
I hate being this guy, but:
Having driven plenty of tractors like this, they stopped to avoid hurting anyone. They could have easily pushed both those police vehicles aside.
Yup. You are paying a huge premium for a collectors bike. Current market this is not a bad price, just not something I personally would buy.
Rare, exclusive bike in near perfect collectors condition vs. excellent but common daily rider in good condition.
He was going the wrong way against traffic. 100% His fault, cut and dry. If you want to protest you need to accept that their could be consequences.
yup, even with the cruiser braking bias the fronts should be a LOT stronger than the back. I have large floating dual discs up front, works great, no fade. Even at over 800 lbs with that geometry it will try and stoppie if I get on it hard. I think HD just pushed the ‘extra cheapo’ button for the bottom of the model…
HP in modern bikes almost doesn’t matter - It’s faster than you need it to be, period :)
Yup. Just look at the vtwin crowd - a “Big” HD used to be 88 ci (1440ish cc). Now the base is a 103, with a 110 option (1800cc). Indian is a 111 and Victory is a 106. And the bigger they get the better they sell, you can’t argue with cash. As long as people shell out a crazy premium for a bigger motor, the motors will…
Yah... I already selected my next scooter (K1200Gt, for the commute) but just because I am buying one now does not mean I can’t start shopping for the next...
That looks like so much damn fun...
Did you see the electric bike raced the Isle of Man TT? So hawt....
I am not a huge HD fan, but they have been making changes (in large part because of Victory I like to think). The newest version of the 103 motor is actually REALLY nice. They changed the saddlebag latches, updated the fairings, etc. etc... And the oil drooling AMF bikes really are a thing of the past.
FYI, Indian is now owned by Polaris, who has been doing VERY well with Victory these last 15 years... And to start the clean sheet designs for Indian that came out recently they first got all the engineers to put miles on OLD Indians... It’s a good time to be a fan of American bikes.
Love what you ride :)
