Yup. I started on UJMs and have owned a 96 Gold Wing, Suzuki C109RT (BITCHIN motor, handles like a pig), a 2012 Victory cross country tour, 87 BMW K100LT and I am probably going to buy the 07 K1200GT I have been borrowing the last two weeks. Plenty of storage and a scalpel in traffic. Monsters get me all tingly, even

2012 CCT. Love that scoot. I have been commuting on BMW’s for the last couple months, they are better tools for that job and lots of fun... But my CCT is my baby :)

I owned a Gold Wing (96). Tons of respect for them. But the cylinder heads are just in a bad place for me, not as comfortable as it should have been.

Welcome brother! :D

Bingo. Works for YOU, and that should be all that matters :)

First off, I don’t love HD. But I do understand why some people do. They are well suited to the American roadscape, where anything over 90 will never really happen and most of the slower riding is stoplight to stoplight. For the long, slow, ENJOYABLE ride through the country, where half the fun is just looking at the

LOL. Nice.

A friend of mine got one last year. Great little van, even better now Mazda put the newer motor in it. Plenty of space for most families.

That’s it - the only rider segment I don’t like is the one that leaves their bikes parked...

^This. Love what you ride and if you don’t have anything nice to say STFU. I thought this piece did a good job of celebrating the bike though, not putting it down. Acknowledging it for what it was and saying that what it was is AWESOME.

It’s fun. Giggle like a little kid fun. Simple as that. Enjoy what you ride and don’t be an asshole about what anyone else is riding. Someone somewhere loves it for what it is.

Ditto - This was actually the first Bond movie I ever saw. It has stood up fairly well, especially when compared to how silly the Roger Moore ones got. And Dat Aston... *drool*

I think you completely missed my point.

I have a 30 year old BMW with ABS. Old tech. And Victory is better than Harley hands down :P

Dude, it is mostly inferior outdated engineering. And while their QC has gotten worlds better they have a well earned reputation. They are getting better (the latest iteration of the 103, the saddlebag latches on the ‘14+ bikes, flirting with water cooling for the luxury tour crowd). But most of EXACTLY what they were

Yup, exactly. My cousin is an old skool HD rider, but his 07 CVO ultra has 100k on it, and it’s not his only bike... revving under the bridge can be a lot of fun though, just pick the right bridge at the right time. I also like downtown late at night, when there is NO ONE there at all, just concrete and steel tunnels

Love what ya brung :)

This - “Technically” better.

Your articles are clear and analytical. Anyone who says you are “butthurt” about the F-35 has not really been reading what you wrote. As you stated, your biggest complaints are with the procurement process and the 1 size fits all methodology, pointing out that there are better solutions to these problems. Yes, you

Ditto. I own a 100% legal but unregistered AK-47 (semi, so I guess not really an AK-47). There is no official record of it’s sale to me. And I paid cash.
