Ohh yeah. I came across a lot of those and you have to be super careful because some shady dealers won’t tell you. There was a salvage C7 I was close to getting that was flooded. They seller claimed that and it was all fixed up. It Looked great. But my 98 Grand Prix flooded in the Louisiana 2016 Flood and I was lucky

22K before TTL. It has every option(minus the performance pack), 3.55 gears and even adaptive cruise control.

My neighbor got a blue Silverado recently. My wife tells me, “Did you see that nice looking truck our neighbor just got?”

While I agree the overlanding scene is getting a bit too into gear-whoring, is it really any different than the tuner culture obsessed with putting 400hp hp into a Civic that will never see the track?

It was mostly a joke. That was a reply to someone who had basically said the exact same thing, they had just said it all about “communism.” I think it was in response to a story about AOC wanting people to use public transit more? Awesome, another chance for the broken record commenters to chime in with their objective and balanced thoughts on the state of the modern pickup truck.

I feel like the default truck these days is a crew cab family hauler, which probably has a lot to do with it.  More doors and more features = more money.

You say that, but look at truck residual values compared to any other segment.

I’m holding out until I can get a tailgate with an integrated charcoal grill.

So true. I learned this the hard way trying to sell my 3 year old FWD Cx-5.

You may not get all the money back on the AWD when you go to sell it, but it may make it easier to sell and more appealing to used car buyers.

Want to love it. Don’t love it.

His legs would atrophy.

“I really wanted a wagon but I have back problems and the wife said she would never drive a Buick hearse.
