I’ve owned every year Fiero made sans a 1985 model.

When I first started driving in the 90s a local small used car dealer I passed daily had a 1972 Porsche Carrera in Guards Red with whale tale, Fuchs wheels, and ~23,000 miles that he eventually listed for $6,000. He was having to close up shop and get rid of his stock, and I think people seem to forget that at one…
Part of the issue with the first individual is literally the car may have not been there. Being used it could have been moved around a dealer’s network or similarly used in some sort of capacity as a demo. For example, I know of a local major dealer that instead of running a individual marque’s page with used stock…
The reason why these sort of vehicles always go for super cheap, and I’ll sound like a broken record in how much I mention it when I see articles on kei vehicles come up, is they no longer can pass shaken without a ton of money thrown at them, often more than their worth.
It’s a lot more than anime/manga, which is unfortunately the problem and just feeds anime like this even more.
We have the fastest single-seaters in history, but the images that come to us over the TV fail to give those sensations that you experience when you are at the circuit and get to see it in real life. What comes across to the people, to the fans, is something different.
Philip Morris acts like we live in 1987 and can’t Google ‘Mission Winnow’
The recall in the link specifically mentions it’s a “plastic weld”. The term ‘weld’ now encompasses such processes as ultrasonic plastic welding, which is typically used in automotive application to assemble components that are not easily assembled or formed as a single unit. Reservoirs & tanks made of plastics…
One thing that’s often not mentioned in the PS2 era that attributed to the massive amount of games and genres that came about is that there were many games that were effectively non-DVD PS2 format released on the PS2, which were often much more easy and cheaper to develop, especially for smaller studios.
I still have two PS2s and a decent library for the console. I own two as one is setup to play imports and I found it actually cheaper at the time to just buy another US market PS2 and set it up for imports rather than trying to source a JPN market PS2. Also I no longer own a PS1 due to it just outright dying, and the…
That has always been my skepticism with the idea of swapping a battery in an EV; you’re likely never to get a battery that is similar to the capacity you have currently. Ultimately you wouldn’t know as, like you mentioned, you would need to use the battery, get home, charge it, and then realize you’ve lost some range…
This was years ago - I want to say a rough estimate of around twenty-three years ago, so it’s not something one could easily look up online - when I was taking an automotive elective shop class at my school (Thankfully they offered something like that. I learned a lot about working on cars.). I took this class late in…
There’s movies on PSN?...
Metal Gear Solid 3's fight with The End was particularly memorable for me in that it completely threw for a loop how you approach a boss battle in a game with guns. Sure MGS always had the option to avoid enemy contact and the first MGS battle with Sniper Wolf was a little more ‘involved’, but there was something…
Yeah my only big thing about all of this is... Grosjean did nearly die in a car that was blazoned with Haas all over it, not to mention in a car that has been one of the most shit-tastic on the F1 grid and has gotten nowhere to giving Gene Haas any real success. If Haas is even in F1 in the next few years I’d be…
Had GM continued with some sort of entry level sports car like the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky I think they very much could have spun off the Corvette into it’s own brand some time ago. Ford effectively has done that with the Mustang identity-wise even if Mustang die-hards don’t want to believe that, and as much as…
You have to figure out a way to cool it though. The Corvair’s flat six is air cooled like the VW drivetrain that would have been used on what the kit is based on. Cooling it would involve a radiator (where is that going to go?), feed and return lines, making sure those lines actually do their job, etc. It would be a…
You comment made me think back over twenty years ago, when there was scares that the PS2 could be used for missile guidance and the Japanese Ministry of International Trade & Industry actually ceased exporting the console for a short while until it could be sorted out. Not to mention that the PS2's memory cards were…
I got to sit in a C8 back before they released in Oct 2019. A local dealer got a press car, and as I own a Corvette and am a bit of an enthusiast I took half a day off of work to go see it, and spent quite a bit of time with it.
There likely is a little more to it than that looking into the history of American motor racing.
