Sorry, I'm not an F-body fan, but bringing 4 cylinders to March Musclecar Madness gets you DQ'd. If it was March Cool Car Madness, I might feel differently... but it isn't.

My '00 M5 has a very similar "secret" menu. Makes the lack of a built-in OBDII readout even more infuriating.

Replace the fuel tank and we'll talk. As is, CP.

Oh. Well, fair call, then. I'm not aware of any street M3 changing hands for over about $100k, and that was the hibernating Sport Evo with 37 miles on it, so it doesn't qualify for the question.

Just for fun, do a price check on an E30 M3 (NOT a regular E30) sometime.

If I could buy any one car that has ever existed, and cost was no object, it would be this one. The Shah of Iran's '71 Lamborghini SV Jota. One of five real SVJs and the only Miura in this gorgeous shade of blue.

Cars.com and Autotrader (or Autotrader Classics) are good places to get sort of a baseline for what's out there. If you want a really solid example the place to go is other enthusiasts (find a club for cars of that sort and check their message boards or classifieds, but be prepared to pay a premium.) Ebay and

It all depends on how you interpret the question, because the E30 M3 hasn't disappeared. They're out there, they're (largely) well-kept, they're not junked for trivial reasons.... but in a sense they have disappeared, because you hardly see them on the street. They've turned the corner into capital-c Classic

Again... seriously? There are 96 for sale right now on Cars.com. They ain't rare, and there are plenty still in good shape.

The joke

In all seriousness, daily-driver 1st-gen Mustangs. Ten to fifteen years ago, '65-'68 'Stangs in various conditions from crap-heap to decent were everywhere. There were five or six in my high school parking lot. Now, they are almost completely gone; I suspect most have either become credit-card restorations cocooned

And DeLoreans which make no reference to 88 miles per hour.

'67 Mustangs that don't involve the color silver, power-domed hoods and a zillion extraneous foglights.

'69 Chargers that don't involve the color orange and the number 01.

Not really. I see one on the road probably every two or three days, on average, and not the same one every time either. Seems like they'll be around for a while, too, as most are very well kept up.

That's the first Mansory product I don't despise.

Right now, there is nothing in the world I want more than enough money to buy this car and treat it to a meticulous, down-to-the-last-bolt restoration and insane, show quality, 27-coat, way-better-than-new paint job so that I can crush the souls of the "patina" idiots.

11.5k? I'll buy every one you'll sell me for that price, and then double my money in a week.

I've got one... crapload of bang for the buck, but I'm not sure I'd include it in a "best value" thread if you have to factor in maintenance. I'm a DIYer, so the cost isn't prohibitive, but there's a LOT of it. And if you're paying someone for maintenance, they're really not all that much of a bargain.

Hi, guys. Reppin' the 1978 ATS HS1.
