@Grackle: Would you rather they have shot him? Hit him with a baton? Gone hands-on with him? Because all of those would have had exponentially higher probabilities of not succeeding or injuring this guy than a taser. Would you have preferred that they wait until he gets hit by a car?

I hear LeMons calling... if that eight-wheeled Batmonstrosity can get an exemption, maybe they can exempt this one from the mandatory four-off penalties and let it cut straight across chicanes, infields, etc.

@Leaaky: Notice how there was no need for shots at Audi or BMW. Makes them look a hell of a lot more confident in their product and who they are as a company. Audi just comes off as nouveau-riche and petulant.

Funny, I can't recall ever seeing a BMW or Mercedes-Benz commercial that took a direct shot at Audi... (other than the brilliant "Checkmate" billboard.) And they wonder why they're still perceived as being not quite in the same league.

My rule of thumb for BMW M cars is to get the best one I can possibly stretch the budget to afford, because problems with them can get very expensive. With Ferraris, the same thing goes... times about a thousand. This is NOT the Ferrari to buy if you value your sanity. The money you'll spend to find and acquire the

One of my real automotive weak spots. It exists, and is a Jensen Interceptor; ergo, I will be voting nice price.

@Straight6er: The Montreal is one of those cars where I look at it and I just don't care what the performance is like. It could be 2cv-slow and I'd still want one badly.

Other than the obvious Ferrari choices (550 Maranello, 360 Modena, 599 Fiorano, 365 Daytona, etc.) I submit the Alfa Romeo Montreal.

@Subasaki: 200 hp turbo vs 200 hp n/a... why bother?

It's a functional automobile for under $1000, hence, automatic nice price.

@WarpedCore: Plus it's all wrong... I pity the foo who don't know that the area above the red stripe on BA's van was actually gray!

@scottlewis19: And my understanding is that the Luftwaffe Bf110s are where the Brit / Aussie pilots got the idea, but in all honesty no one knows for sure. Point is, it was a widespread phenomenon (still is) and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong or heretical about putting it on a Japanese-made car.

@2ndGearSuperhero: I don't understand how these actual race cars that were sponsored by Gulf Oil and raced in those colors being painted in that livery can possibly be blasphemous.

@scottlewis19: Is there anything on that that's really AVG specific, or is it just the shark-mouth motif? Because that was actually copied by the Flying Tigers from a German airplane, so it's pretty much fair game for anyone at this point IMHO.

@LastAndLeast: If it's coming like a douche like Elon Musk, I'm sticking with the internal combustion engine no matter whether the electric becomes equally good or not.
