What I don’t like about cameras is your field of view is fixed. No matter where you put your head, you’ll get the same image. With a mirror, you can greatly expand your field of view just by moving your head in one direction or the other, no more blindspots.
A friend of mine works @ Magna Mirror in Grand Rapids MI in prototyping.
The company and the product was a cluster, but it is so dang pretty... I hope someone can make a real car out of that design. I don’t care if it is hybrid, electric, an LS crate or a 1641cc VW with dual Kadrons powering it. I just want to see more of them on the road and smile.
Alternatively, anyone who’s been to the Corvette factory can tell you why that place needs some upgrades. It looks straight out of 1985 in there.
I’m going to import a... oh fuck, I live here.
wrong on all fronts, as someone from a Saab family I’ve driven many 99s, 900s, and 9000s. The 50/50 weight distribution of the 900/99 like the miata provides excellent handling, Saab was turbo charging 4 bangers back in the late 70s when Subaru wasn’t even a viable brand in the states, the 5 door Saab 99/900/9000 is…
Hardest thing I ever did was sell my first car, a turbocharged Plymouth Sundance Duster that ran 12s in the quarter and took first place at a bunch of car shows. The person I was married to at the time made me sell it, and then she cleaned out her closets and disappeared a month later.
I cried about that car leaving,…
I disagree. When people say $2 they don’t necessarily mean it’s actual cost, but the implication that it’s relatively simple and can be depended on to function without much hassle. It’s one thing to have a part that was expensive and untested end up failing, since that’s expected; it’s another thing entirely to have a…
For want of a connector the air line was lost.
For want of an air line the wastegate was lost.
For want of a wastegate the turbo was lost.
For want of a turbo the power was lost.
For want of power a lap was lost.
For want of a lap the race was lost.
And all for the want of a turbo line connector.
Are you saying that you’re pretty sure it’s a Lambo, dude?
The Hennessy Venom reached 214 mph before the Mulsanne kink. Then the driver eased the wheel some direction other than straight ahead and $13,000 in parts vanished and phone calls were not returned.
Tires every 10 laps. Engine re-build every 50.
It’s nice, but the Bugatti would have to refuel every lap if it was to race at LeMans.
Would love to see an actual flying lap time. Guessing it’s not in spitting distance of the GTE cars.
I had a ‘92 TSi AWD. It WAS awesome, when it wasn’t up on jackstands...
Would you settle for a 1.8 liter v-6 with non-stock exhaust?
