The parallels are amazing. Especially the reality that, no matter how much the management staff are fired, changed, etc., the poor management of the senior-most executive pervades the whole organization and is the biggest obstacle to success.
I have to agree, the music has been too dramatic and distracts from the story. Hopefully they will tone it down.
Great article.
“Just like everywhere else in the world, slavery had been around for a long time before that.” That statement is the writer’s rationalization of the middle passage .
Do you really see that in his/her post? I don’t.
How in the world is that racist? Has the meaning of that word completely changed?
I can’t figure out if this whole post is satire or not.
This is the most true statement I’ve read on Deadspin in a while.
“Maybe let the grass roots give it a shot for once.”
““How” is the wrong conversation. “Why” is the right one.”
So I am actually a liberal, but what I hear you saying is: Americans really shouldn’t be trusted to make decisions on what they want to do with their money or what they want their government to focus on. So what’s your answer, take away the vote?

Sorry, I can’t agree with your premise that conservatives are gutting the ACA in order to give tax cuts to the rich. Which is the basis of your original statement that “we are far past the point where certain positions deserve a civil response,” which is the point of the article.
No, the Democratic party loses elections because they haven’t figured out a way to appeal to enough voters who are distrustful of governement.
What truth is being discarded? Do you honestly believe that the conservatives are ditching ACA because they want to give more money to the rich? That was the original statement.
Sorry, not trying to be pendantic, but your statement is over the top because you wrote it that way, in order to ascribe an evil motive to the other side. Which is exactly what this is all about. If it’s a crummy bill, then just say that. Don’t say that they wanted to dump more money on the rich, needed to find it…
