Thank you so much Matt, I really hope the car finds a good home.

It’s Tuesday, and that means another edition of Resignation Letters to Patrick. Today’s letter comes from Doug DeMuro, Jalopnik’s resident humorist, part-time Ferrari owner, and specialist in the Rule of Three. Doug writes:

That’s a veiled threat if I’ve ever heard one. I hope you make enough money at your new job to get out of our mom’s basement.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say it’s been a pleasure working with you and hosting all of your insane ideas over the years. We wish you nothing but the best and good luck with the new venture. Also, God bless you for taking that PT Cruiser off the road.

My dad has the Crew Cab 4x4 Z71 Colorado with the Duramax and did 36.3mpg on 1500 mile trip with a regen cycle included. The before the regen he was over 37mpg. Pretty awesome. Its his non-hauling work truck for when the 2500HD Silverado is not needed.

Two waters, two coffees!

The fuck’s your deal? Dude was happy with his gas mileage, and you jump on him for his decision. You must be a joy to hang out with...

Side note, and I realize its a totally un-related vehicle to a real HD Diesel Pickup.

Torch, this is just the tip of the iceberg and there’s much more story here if you’re interested in delving more into it. Not as cool as turn signals maybe, but definitely not boring. See, this company (arguably) got its start by using IP law to its advantage (pennyloafers planted on the backs of smart and hard

Watching a re-run of the hilariously over the top Ambulance episode this weekend made me realize how much I miss these clowns. I’ll be joining Amazon PRIME as soon as the season is released. Can’t wait.

Almost. Chrysler is ditching the 200 because they cannot give those hunks of junk away.

I’m glad my Prime membership is going to good use.

The only problem is that gas prices disproportionately affect the poor. Not only will it cost a larger percentage of their paycheck they also will drive older less efficient cars. I would rather see a much larger gas guzzler tax at purchase. Make the gas guzzlers a lot more expensive and you have a strong incentive

I’ll repeat what I’ve been saying for years, we need to have one CAFE pool for all “passenger vehicles” regardless of size. That means you average the Volt and the Suburban and the Prius and Land Cruiser together.

I don’t play, but I think it’s a Seel.

Importing penguins

I’ll add that although I think this is rad (and adorable), what we really need is a mini-SNES, ideally one that lets you play/buy any SNES game. I’d pay good money for that.

Now playing

Here is this thing. It’s pretty much the only vintage tractor that’s allowed on the autobahn. This’ll never happen to you again ;)
