Where does greed come into this? I've heard this a lot, but I don't really get it. Yes, if Tiger plays, the ratings go up. But hasn't CBS, or Augusta National, or whoever else gets paid already gotten whatever money they're going to get out of this year's Masters? Advertisers and sponsors have already bought and paid

They didn't bend the rules. A rule change was made last year that addresses violations caught by television replay, i.e. no one knew at the time of his drop that it was illegal, including Tiger. If an infraction is determined by video replay after the player's round is over, the player will not be disqualified, only

Range Rover, not Evoque.

Good catch. I think if that test had been done with the Evoque, a lot more than just the rims would have broken.

Apparently, allegedly, supposedly according to Mr. Sources at ESPN, Pernetti has been fired.

Sam, I gotta hand it to you. Somehow, you manage to come off as a dick EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's the kind of dedication I can respect.

First of all, it's steel and concrete. That's hardly a polluting combination. They create artificial reefs with it all the time in the ocean. Second, if you read the post over at Jalopnik, it says that a local recycling company is going to salvage the steel, melt it down and use it for statues for the city. Because

I think we're missing the lead here. Toyota Tundra with a Leer topper?

So the story is...idiots say stupid things on Twitter? Thanks, Sam! I look forward to your coverage of the color of the sky.

Running up the score should never be an issue for anyone over the age of twelve, or MAYBE high school.

Rambling wreck.

Same here. I was a junior in high school and I remember the shocked look on my father's face when I told him we HAD to watch "60 Minutes".

Shelby did many, many amazing things for the automotive world. Creating the "genre" of the American muscle car was not one of those things. Did he make it better? Absolutely.

No shit. And they said "an embarrassment for the city" at least 3 or 4 times. Settle down, WWL. There was a whopping 35 minutes of delay. I say job well done for getting the power back on so fast; if that happens in some other random part of the city, it likely takes a couple hours to repair.

Thanks for the assist, Doc!

In other, more interesting crash landing news, a pilot landed a 767 in Poland like a champ with NO LANDING GEAR.

Exactly. Besides, being tasteful doesn't do shit for those page hits, right Ray?

Exactly. Anytime you use the term "plantation overseer" and say that Stern thinks of players as "his boys instead of men" there is no doubt about the implication. If Gumble was truly just making a statement about Stern's power grab or his management style, there are MANY other ways to make that point. Gumble knows

I find it a bit disingenuous of all these IRL drivers to say, after the fact, that they knew it was unsafe to race at Las Vegas, or words to that effect. If they truly felt that way, why did each and every one climb into that car and then proceed to race at the very speeds they supposedly deemed unsafe?

What a bunch of fucking sycophantic sheep!!
