Ya the playstation Hardware has always been an iterative cycle. The launch hardware tends to be the big bad with all the bells and whistles. The later models are improvements and cost cutters. Last gen they leaned heavily on cost cutters. The last version of the PS3 slim really accents this. Most of the PS3 Slims were

“Sony did NOT give us a console. They charged 600 dollars for it.”

heh, that would be funny.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people ride on a high horse with the justification of “-insert company here- fans”.

The real question with a title like God of War is whether or not they should do a PS2 Eto4 (Emulation to PS4) or not. If they go with the PS2 versions what factors would inhibit that from being a reality.

You can’t really blame sony for not putting the effort into backward compatibility. What has it gotten them? With the PS2 it was this huge selling point to play PSOne titles on PS2, they went into the PS3 doing the same thing. They gave us a beast of a machine that did it all. Instead of a flood of customers, they got

Stephen, Sony sent an email out to PSN users well over a month ago stating they were doing a month long update to the store. Apparently they are updating it and its features to accommodate a new system and thus some existing features would be impacted. Things like this have been happening all month long. For instance

Because of this years E3 reaction, Sony decided to hold its big announcements for E3 next year. That was the word going into this weekend. Though I did enjoy what was shown honestly, some games to be excited for in the next 6 months even if I knew about all of them.

Mario Kart honestly hasn’t been Mario Kart since Double Dash, which is the last good entry honestly. Everything since has gone too far in weird directions and is so Try Hard inclusive that its just not fun anymore. You’re punished for dominating and hand held for sucking. Battle mode just fell further into obscurity

“Can’t stand lazy journalism” and yet you still keep coming to Kotaku. lol

I don’t need to imagine Fahey. This game Called Trails of Cold Steel muted my main character on its own terms when ever it damn well wanted. Either they all speak or they don’t all the time. Anything else is jaring and frustrating.

See now you’re just being a tool. Why did you even bother to come here? Are you looking to get a rise out of someone? I mean come on, calling me sweetie. You’re just laying it on thick now. Go find someone else to pester and look up what a strawman is.

Actually loss loss when you get down to it. To take advantage of BC you need the games. If you got them then you’re in good shape, but now you have two machines where one is going to simply get neglected. You now have a very expensive dust collector. You could have just bought a PS4 and never even needed an Xbox One.

This is nonsensical. It most certainly matters why Xbox BC exists. To cast that aside as one has it versus the other is a straw mans argument.

“act savage”, thanks hip kid down with the street speak. *rolls eyes* No idea what you mean by this.

I’m not leaving anything out Conveniently at all.

Clock was only fuzzy for two reasons. You were on a low resolution display or you were in a menu. The clock itself could be seen in focus. Basically tries to use a depth of field trick to make you feel like what ever you were looking at was in the foreground and teh clock in the back. If you still have your PS2, hook

Yes. Greedy Sony. The same company that gave free Backward Compatibility not once, but twice, and even 3 and 4 times. Had nothing to do with an entire console generations worth of gamers thumbing their noses at PS2 and PS1 BC on PS3 like it was nothing. It was totally greed. Totally greed now too.

it won’t. Many developers do not care to put the extra time in. The 4K kits have been in the hands of many developers for some time. It’s not exactly wizardry to set this stuff up for XB1X. Granted there are some things they have setup, but we’re talking 3 to 4 month changes. Developers aren’t going to go out of their

I dunno about the controller being better, but everything else about the SNES version was better honestly. It’s why I didn’t bother with the genesis version. You could get arcade sticks for the SNES to solve that issue. All in all I’ll take my PS3 version over both :-P lol
