Kind of hard to calibrate ABS for dirt/gravel/mud/clay/etc..  It’s better off in the dirt.  In this case, it didn’t really matter since they removed the brake levers.

Best advice in here.  16 years off of a bike, the FTR is not a good way to get back in to it.  No matter how good someone used to ride, 16 years is a long time.  

Keep the high exhaust and listen to customers bitch about the heat endlessly?  Why would they do that?  Not to mention the EPA requirements are to blame for the massive size of exhaust cans on bike these days.

Agree completely. I used to hate getting caught in the rain on a bike, now I actually leave the garage when it’s raining. Right gear, right bike equipment and it’s a great experience and you can’t beat the looks you get from people at red lights. As for the FTR, I’d take it over a Versa for my only transportation…
