Hold up. Illegal to pump your own gas? Where? And more importantly, why?

I kinda disagree with the iPad statement. I have an 11 year old son. He is an angel. I know I'm going to come off sounding like one of "those" parents. But seriously. I can't even get the kid to tell a white lie to his dad. He does his homework without being asked, is on the honor roll, never missed a day of school…
Really? People actually use "walla" in place of "voila"? Either I've never ran into this problem, or just never paid attention. Most likely the latter.
Not sure if someone has mentioned this already. Buy it royally pisses me off when someone uses the word "conversate", or "conversating" instead of converse/conversation. Arrrrggg!
The name thing is true too. Once it makes it to operations if the deposit name doesn't match the account info, we just assume its a 3rd party deposit. We just figure if it is a fraudulent deposit that the true check owner will file a complaint. Like I explained to Donewithrealnames: we only look at dollar amount, make…
I used to work in bank operations for 10+ years. For those who don't know what bank operations is, we are basically the teller that you don't see behind the scenes. Once the retail branch is done for the day, they send all of their deposits/checks to us. And our job is ensure everything balances out (I.e. the deposit…
It was mostly funny. But he didn't really find the humor in being mistaken for a John.
FYI, there are dating sites specifically heard for interracial Asian dating. I guess it does feed into the whole "china doll" thing. But for me I genuinely like him. It wasn't some Asian fetish for me.
The only thing that sucked was when we went out we would always get the curious stares. I assume they were wondering what a Black woman is doing with an Asian guy. I didn't get as many stares when I dated White guys. I guess the bf+wm is more common these days.
Sorta related, sorta not. The...best...sex I've ever had in my entire life was with an Asian guy, hands down. Vietnamese to be exact. Really had me sprung for awhile.
Ha. Lol.
I guess it's my hatred of carrot cake that is making me biased again all things carrot. My mom uses a trinity too. But instead of carrots, it's onion, celery(or green pepper, depending on what she's cooking), and garlic. Not sure if that's still considered a trinity though.
My mom makes, hands down, the best meatloaf ever. It's basically this recipe, sans the carrots, eww gross. Oh, and tons of garlic. and she pairs it with mashed butter garlic potatoes. We're a garlicky family. Yum, nectar of the gods.
I tried that before and it worked. But the downside for me was the burnt hair smell you can get with curlers. The vicinity of the women's restroom was too close to the cubicles. And I wanted to show some consideration.
Not a stupid question. I guess wearing rollers to work would depend on the type of job you have. I work in ooerations for a bank, so my contact with the public is non-existent. But I also wouldn't be caught dead with rollers in my hair in public. But that's just me. Also having bus service with a bike rack is amazing…
I guess biking to work can be a bit tricky for women. I roll my hair every night, and I hated the helmet hair I would get after taking off my gear, and ponytails look so plain. Luckily I live in a state that recently added bike racks to to front of all busses for commuters. So I use the bus in the morning, and bike…
I used to work in operations for TDBank as a team leader. Very boring work. Half if my shift is in a 50x50 room with 15 other people sorting checks. The other half in a slightly larger room typing in numbers from said checks.
Yes it's amazing. I especially love the."identify browser as" feature.
I nominate Atomic Web Browser. It allows you to select what browser format you want to view a web page in (I.e. Firefox). This is especially helpful when you're trying to view a non-mobile version of a website, but Safari will force the mobile version by default. It also allows you to lock the orientation of the web…
I love most picross type of puzzle on the iPhone. My favorite is Piczle Lines. I play it at least two hours a day. Amy recommendations for similar type of games for iPhone. Preferably free.
