I think you may have escaped a serial killer.

My former fuck buddy, now husband has a lamp that looks like an anatomical model of a heart, and when you plug it in, it “pulses”. I shit you not.

Fuck buddy makes this awfully specific so I don’t think I have a great one, but:

it was a one-off during a dry spell and he was a friend of a friends friend. (i didnt know it when I went home with him) he was a STAUNCH republican on the last stop of the N in astoria. I asked if he likes the greek food and if hes ever been to greece. “we live in the best fucking country in the world, WHY would i go

OoOooOoo... I experienced the trifecta. I went home with a man who had
1. a GIANT acrylic painting of Bob Dylan hanging above his couch that he had painted himself
2. only had AXE body wash products in his bathroom (this was early 2000s when it still smelled like gasoline and teenage angst)
...yet I persisted (*shrug*

That person must have really fucked up in a prior life to get reincarnated as Ivanka’s dog.

This doggo is a good doggo (they're all good doggos Brant!) And Jared Kushner is a P.O.S. human being so this dog can absolutely do anything better than him.

1. That is a cute dog.

I empathize with the desire to let it burn. If a bunch of alt right fanatics want a war why not give it to them? Maybe then there would be fewer around and we could get some things done. That said it’s privileged and naive to want a cataclysm, because its consequences will always fall hardest on the most vulnerable.

If only this dog could be spared its current horrible fate of being a Trump pet in the first place. My heart sunk when I read some poor dog is in the care of these awful people.

Do you know if your friends are registered Democrats? If they want to influence who makes it to the general election ballot, then they have to be registered Democrats in order to vote in the primary. I find there are a number of people who don’t choose a political party and so lose out on the influence they can have

I agree with this so much. My job is fairly political in that I have meet with city, county, state, and national elected officials on a regular basis. And honestly it is the state level that seems to make the biggest difference in daily life. Plus, getting elected at a state or local level is a great training ground

Yep. I live in deeply red district and I still vote for the Democrat because it matters. And I take comfort in the fact that about 25-26% that vote blue too. I adopted the vote blue no matter who (except Tulsi Gabbard) and I’ll keep shouting that. I know no matter who the gets the nomination is a better choice than

The whole world seems to be going nuts. It seems like we’ve lost our humanity and have stopped caring full stop. And as someone who lives in a red state who knows my choices at the local and state level are always going to be centrist democrats who are too conservative for me, your friends are part of the problem. I

In season two (?) of Kimmy Schmidt, Kimmy’s having one of her excited monologues at Titus about the new adult thing she gets to try: voting. Titus is zero percent interested, and Kimmy can’t understand why. Democracy! Civic duty! Being the change you wish to see! I don’t remember the exact words of his response, but

As someone also in their 20s, I agree with them except the whole burn it down thing. Yes even if it is Biden, I would hold my nose so hard I would probably break it. There is way too much at stake to let Trump get reelected.

DC *IS* really very much like Veep. Signed, very tired DC resident who had the misfortune of seeing Stephen Miller out in public on Saturday.
